But the \u200dsame journalists were unbothered when President Joe Biden suggested during \u2063a campaign speech in Virginia on Tuesday that Glenn Youngkin \u200cis not the &#8220;real governor&#8221; of the state.<\/p>\n<p>It fell to Youngkin, a Republican, to correct the record, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GlennYoungkin\/status\/1749920568218980600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">saying<\/a> on X, formerly Twitter: &#8220;Mr. President, I&#8217;m right here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>White House press secretary \u200bKarine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6LaM2uXvYpw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waved off<\/a> Fox News&#8217;s Peter Doocy&#8217;s questions about Biden&#8217;s remark, saying the \u200cpresident \u2062had obviously been joking. I make my claims based on empirical evidence, on \u2062a demonstrated pattern of behavior that began with the\u2062 fact that\u200d the person I\u200d was dealing with \u2063was running the\u2064 election. If you\u200b look at my immediate reaction after the election, I refused to \u200bconcede. It was largely because I \u2064could not prove what \u200chad happened, but I knew from the calls that \u200cwe got that something happened. Now, I \u2062cannot say that everybody who tried to\u2064 cast a ballot would\u2019ve voted for me, but if\u200d you\u200b look at the totality of the information, it is \u200csufficient to demonstrate that so many \u200bpeople were \u2062disenfranchised \u200dand disengaged by the very act of the person who won \u200bthe election that I \u2062feel comfortable now saying,\u2064 &#8220;I won.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/19thnews.org\/2022\/09\/stacey-abrams-trump-democracy-big-lie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">19th News<\/a><\/em>, Sept. \u200d19, 2022: &#8220;Stacey Abrams: \u200dIt is\u2064 \u2018Wrong\u2019 To Compare\u200b Her Refusal to Concede With Trump\u2019s Stolen Election Rhetoric&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Republicans have continued to call Abrams\u2019 \u200cactions in 2018 the\u2062 original &#8220;Big Lie.&#8221; \u200dAs \u200bAbrams runs for Georgia governor again,\u200c she wants \u200bto be \u2062clear she\u2019s here to defend democracy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/12\/03\/politics\/stacey-abrams-concession-2018-georgia\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>, Dec.\u200b 3, 2021: &#8220;Abrams Defends Lack of Concession After 2018 Gubernatorial Loss&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams defended herself from\u200c criticism that she never\u200d conceded her loss to Gov. Brian Kemp in 2018 on Friday, addressing what Republicans \u2063have already used against \u2062her in \u2064her newly announced 2022 rematch against Kemp. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Even though Abrams lost\u200c her 2018 election, the race vaulted her into \u2063the upper echelons of the \u2062Democratic Party, landing Abrams as one of the top candidates on Biden\u2019s\u2062 vice \u200dpresidential search. Yet when Democrats like Joe \u2064Biden and \u2063Stacey\u200c Abrams make \u200bsimilar claims,\u2063 they are excused, dismissed, or even applauded by\u200c the media.<\/p>\n<p>This double standard erodes public trust \u200cin the media and fuels political polarization. Americans rely on the media to provide\u200c accurate and unbiased information,\u200d especially when it comes \u200bto elections and democracy. But when\u2063 journalists apply different standards to different political parties, \u200cit undermines\u2062 their role as impartial \u200dobservers and gatekeepers of the truth.<\/p>\n<p>Media bias in election denialism is\u2063 not\u2062 only unfair, but also \u200cdangerous. It perpetuates division and distrust, making it harder\u2064 to \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/three-things-to-know-about-the-united-auto-workers-strike\/\" title=\"Key points about the United Auto Workers strike: \n\n1.
