More than two \u2062dozen states expressed their unwavering support for Texas Governor Greg Abbott as he stood up\u200c to \u2062the \u2064bullying tactics of the Biden administration regarding the \u2063ongoing border crisis.<\/p>\n

The Supreme Court ruled on Jan. \u206422 that federal border officials could remove razor wire installed<\/a> by the Texas National Guard along the Rio \u2063Grande if it hindered their ability to perform their\u200d duties. In response, Abbott announced on \u2062Jan. 24 that \u200che would \u200buphold the law by \u200callowing his state’s National Guard to continue their operations, particularly in high-traffic illegal crossing areas like Eagle Pass, Texas.<\/p>\n
Abbott emphasized that Texas has a\u2062 constitutional right to defend itself against the 10 million migrants who have illegally crossed into the U.S. under President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe federal government has\u200c broken the compact between the\u200c United \u200cStates and the States. The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional\u2064 duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including \u2063immigration laws on the books \u200bright now,\u201d Abbott wrote. \u201cPresident Biden \u200dhas refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them. The result is that he has smashed records for illegal immigration.\u201d<\/p>\n
His declaration received an outpouring of support\u200d from Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, several members of Congress, and more than a dozen\u200c state \u2064leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the federal government fails, states step in. Iowa sent the Iowa National Guard and State Troopers\u200d down to the border last year to\u2063 stop this invasion. Iowa stands with Texas,\u201d she wrote on X.<\/p>\n
Reynolds deployed \u200c109 \u2063soldiers from the Iowa National Guard to aid \u200cTexas’ border operations last August.<\/p>\n

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced on Jan. 25 that she backs Abbott’s \u2063decision\u200d to uphold\u200b the law in Eagle Pass, Texas.<\/p>\n

In the summer \u2063of 2023, The Natural State Republican deployed the Arkansas National Guard to aid the Lone Star \u200bState’s mission to \u201ccombat illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human trafficking at\u200b the border due to the failed policies of\u200c the Biden Administration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Montana \u200d <\/h2>\n

Gianforte joined Abbott in\u2062 raising alarms about the border\u2062 crisis when Biden took office in 2021.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince [Biden] took \u200boffice, more than 10 million illegal immigrants have crossed our open southern border. That’s 10x the population of Montana,\u201d he wrote in another\u200c post.<\/p>\n
Idaho<\/h2>\n
Governor Brad Little said Texas and Abbott have his \u200bstate’s support as they continue\u2064 to secure the border, fight fentanyl, and combat human trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n

North Dakota<\/h2>\n
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum reassured Abbott that his state and its National \u200dGuard \u201cstands with Texas\u201d after\u200d the Biden administration continued to undo its efforts to secure the border.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the Biden administration fails miserably to secure the southern\u2062 border, Americans\u2063 and our\u200b communities are paying the price,\u201d Burgum wrote on X on Jan. 25. \u201c[Abbott] deserves our thanks for taking action to stop\u200b illegal crossings and disrupt drug and human trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nebraska<\/h2>\n
The Cornhusker State is \u201cproud to stand \u2062with Texas,\u201d\u200c Governor Jim Pillen wrote in a statement \u2063posted\u2064 to X on Jan. 25.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe failure to secure our border has created a \u200bmassive flow of \u2064illegal drugs, national security and terrorism risks,\u200b and a humanitarian crisis,\u201d Pillen said, noting that he sent both Nebraska State Troopers and the Nebraska National Guard to help out Abbott last year.<\/p>\n
West \u200dVirginia <\/h2>\n
West Virginia Governor Jim Justice expressed formal support for Abbott and Texas on Jan. 25.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a terrible crisis at the Southern Border. The \u2064Biden Administration has turned every state into a border state. We must stop the flow of\u2064 fentanyl, human trafficking, and criminal activity \u200dand secure our border,\u201d \u200bhe wrote on\u200d X.<\/p>\n
Justice sent 50 West Virginia National Guard soldiers and \u2062airmen to Texas in May to assist with \u200bOperation Lone Star after Abbott requested aid.<\/p>\n
Alabama<\/h2>\n
\u201cTexas, you can count on \u200bAlabama to have\u2064 your back,\u201d Alabama Governor Kay Ivey reassured Abbott\u2064 in\u2063 a Jan. 25 post on X. \u201cTexas and\u200c the states have stepped up time and time again. The White House? Purposely absent. I \u2064have had enough.\u201d<\/p>\n
