This map\u200b was implemented after DeSantis pushed\u200c for the state legislature to \u200cpass\u2064 a bill that did not include the previous black-majority district, which was part of the map prior to the 2020\u200c census. \u200dDeSantis argued \u2062that the district was a\u2064 result of\u200c racial gerrymandering.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200bSeptember, Circuit Judge J. Lee\u200c Marsh ruled that the congressional map\u200d was unconstitutional under the Fair Districts Amendment.
