This\u2064 is wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Abbott can\u2019t ignore the Supreme Court because\u200d Texas wasn\u2019t ordered to\u200b do anything. SCOTUS vacated \u2062an order against the Department of Homeland Security [sic] that stopped the Feds from cutting down razor fencing along the border. Nothing says \u2062that Texas can\u2019t\u2063 erect the fencing.<\/p>\n<p>Though, you must\u2062 marvel at the breathtaking audacity of Democrats suddenly treating the court\u2019s (non-existent) words as if they \u2064were sacred text. This very week, President Joe Biden again ignored the court, \u2064rolling out yet another iteration of his unconstitutional student \u201cloan forgiveness\u201d program. Biden habitually circumvents, ignores, defies, attacks, and\u2063 demeans SCOTUS \u2014 and Democrats \u2062cheer him on along the way. Senate leaders and \u201cdark money\u201d fake media organizations like ProPublica have poured millions into delegitimizing and smearing the \u200dcourt to undermine its authority.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it is true that Biden has the power to ratchet up the fight, take\u200c federal control of the border, and implement any policy he desires \u2014 or, more specifically, any non-policy\u2063 he desires. The Biden administration is standing in the\u200d way of Texas\u2019 efforts to enforce state and\u2063 federal law. Once that happens, we can have our constitutional crisis.<\/p>\n<p>As a political matter, the case tells \u200dus that the border mayhem is not only\u2064 a matter of historic incompetence but is also \u2063driven by ideology. \u200dMany Democrats believe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-canada-reach-deal-on-limiting-illegal-immigration-at-northern-border\/\" title=\"US, Canada Reach Deal on Limiting Illegal Immigration at Northern Border\">limiting illegal immigration<\/a> is immoral. They believe anyone who wants to\u2063 walk over the border should\u2064 be able to do so without any\u200d incumbrances.<\/p>\n<p>This week, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that razor wire at the southern border \u2064is ineffective and gets \u201cin the way\u201d of law enforcement. I\u2019m no expert on border\u200c control, admittedly, but I am\u2062 relatively certain that any fence is better \u2063than what is happening now.<\/p>\n<p>A few years back, Nancy Pelosi \u2062distilled the left\u2019s view on physical barriers when she called\u2064 them an \u201cimmorality,\u201d the \u201cleast effective way to protect the border,\u201d and too expensive. \u200b\u201cI can\u2019t think of any reason why anyone \u2064would think it\u2019s a good idea \u2014 unless this has something\u200d to do with something else,\u201d the then House Speaker said. None of that is true, either. \u200dThe idea that real fences and walls can\u2019t mitigate \u2062the movement of people is undermined by looking at the entirety of history. The least\u200b effective way is probably what we\u2019re doing now.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201csomething else,\u201d of course, \u200dis meant to call you a racist. The reality is that Mexico is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/southern-border-crossings-hit-record-high-with-one-month-left-in-fiscal-year-2022\/\" title=\"Southern Border Crossings Hit Record High With One Month Left in Fiscal Year 2022\">top origin country<\/a> for legal immigrants. Most Americans \u200cstill see immigration as a net positive.\u200c The\u2064 lawlessness\u2064 at the\u200d border, and now in major cities, is helping undermine that\u200b sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>One of the vital jobs of\u2062 the federal government \u200dis to protect the sovereignty, borders, \u200dand citizens of the nation \u2014 even more important than creating \u201cbook ban\u201d czars or banning Zyn packets. In fact,\u200b it \u2064is the duty of the government to ensure the safety and security\u200d of its \u2062citizens. Texas, like \u200bany other state, has the\u200c right to protect \u200cits borders\u2063 and enforce its laws.<\/p>\n<p>It is also worth noting that the construction \u2063of fencing\u200b along the border is not unprecedented. Previous\u2063 administrations, \u200dboth \u2063Republican\u2062 and Democrat, have utilized \u200bfencing as a means to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-rep-budd-introduces-bill-to-force-biden-to-build-the-border-wall\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Budd Introduces Bill To Force Biden To Build The Border Wall\">enhance border security<\/a>. The current \u2062outcry against\u2062 Texas\u2019 efforts is nothing more than\u200c partisan politics.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, Texas Governor\u2063 Greg Abbott\u2064 is not ignoring or defying the Supreme Court. The notion that he is doing so \u2062is a misinterpretation of the court\u2019s actions. \u2063Abbott has every right to take steps to secure the Texas border and protect the interests of his state.
