This ruling did not sit well with Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a horrible decision. I&#8217;m angry about it,&#8221; Cruz\u200b declared. &#8220;It \u2062is\u2063 deeply disturbing. We are witnessing an \u200cinvasion at our\u2063 southern border, with 9.6 \u2062million illegal immigrants crossing under Joe Biden. This is deliberate. \u200bHe wants this to happen. Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel \u200dAlito, Neil \u200dGorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh all \u200bvoted against the Biden administration&#8217;s request.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is\u200d a heavy presumption in Washington and federal courts that the federal government\u2064 trumps the states,&#8221; Cruz explained. &#8220;But the Constitution&#8217;s supremacy clause states that federal laws are the supreme law of the land. I\u2064 believe it \u200cis a real problem that John Roberts is disconnected from what\u2063 is happening at\u2064 the southern border. Amy Coney Barrett, as a law\u2062 professor from Indiana, \u200clacks understanding of the situation as \u2063well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Expressing \u200dhis frustration, Cruz emphasized, &#8220;What the\u2064 justices fail to grasp is the severity and lawlessness of the Biden administration&#8217;s \u2063actions.
