Mike DeWine&#8217;s veto\u200b and passing legislation that puts an end to transgender child mutilation and protects women&#8217;s sports in the state. This decision reflects the will \u2063of the \u200dmajority\u200c of Ohioans, who believe\u200c that transgender athletes should not compete in school sports.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2023,\u2063 DeWine vetoed HB \u206368, claiming \u200dthat \u200cgender-confused kids would be at risk of suicide \u200bwithout transgender mutilations \u2064or opposite-sex hormones. However, his justification was\u2062 based on flawed studies, unreliable \u2062surveys, and the testimony of gender-crazed parents.<\/p>\n<p>DeWine&#8217;s veto \u200ddid not sit well with his voters or the legislature.
