Marjorie Taylor Greene\u2063 (R-GA) told the Washington Examiner at the Nashua hotel where former President Donald Trump spoke. \u201cIt\u2019s a big victory speech, and Nikki Haley \u200dneeds to drop out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The message was the same\u200d from two other members \u200cof Congress interviewed by \u2062the Washington Examiner, as \u200dwell as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-calls-travel-lid-for-wednesday-an-hour-after-bobulinski-interview-airs\/\" title=\"Biden Calls Travel Lid for Wednesday an Hour After Bobulinski Interview Airs\">supporters gathered<\/a> for the watch\u200d party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s time for our party to unite,\u201d Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) told the\u2062 Washington Examiner. \u201cThe campaign season\u2063 was last year, and it has really been a demonstration to the country that the Republican Party stands firmly behind Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet another House Republican, Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), added, \u201cIt was a great win. It\u2019s time\u200b to close this thing down \u200dand get past the primary. It\u2019s\u200b time \u200cto get ready\u2062 for\u2062 the general\u2064 election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump, of course, added \u200dto the theme himself with a triumphant speech during which he referred to Haley as an imposter.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u200dthe race was actually closer than expected, with Haley drawing in about 46% \u2064support \u2062as Trump was speaking. She had been polling at \u2062only 36% and said Tuesday\u2062 night that she will not drop out, will host a rally in South Carolina on Wednesday evening, and will spend $4 million on ads\u200b in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew Hampshire is\u2063 first \u200cin the nation. It\u2019s not last in\u200d the nation,\u201d she told supporters at her own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/most-vulnerable-house-dems-silent-on-fbi-raid-of-mar-a-lago\/\" title=\"Most Vulnerable House Dems Silent on FBI Raid of Mar-a-Lago\">results watch party<\/a>. \u200d\u201cThis race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go. And the next one is my \u2064sweet state of South Carolina!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump \u2063was having none of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s taking a victory lap, and we beat her so\u200d badly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden seemed to agree. His campaign released a statement saying, \u201cIt is now \u200dclear that Donald Trump will be the\u2064 Republican nominee,\u201d while warning that democracy as well as personal freedoms are at stake in November.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. \u2062J.D. Vance (R-OH) wrote on X that Haley should either \u201cdrop out or help the Democrats,\u201d while Rep.\u200c Elise Stefanik (R-NY) sent out a statement\u200b saying it is \u2063\u201cwell past time\u201d \u2062for her to leave the race.<\/p>\n<p>If Trump is the nominee, it will set up a rematch with Biden, who defeated him four years ago. Greene said the fact that\u200c voters have now seen each man taking on the duties of the presidency \u200cis the reason\u2063 Trump can emerge victorious this time out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s already happening,\u201d she said. \u201cWe are seeing the polling numbers\u2062 every single week. And we are seeing people coming out and saying, \u2018We\u2019re done with the Biden administration. We\u2019re tired of seeing our hard-earned tax dollars spent on an open border and [diversity, equity, and inclusion] initiatives, which is pure racism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Supporters almost unanimously mentioned immigration and the economy as the \u2063two \u200dtop issues for the Trump campaign in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe price of food, the price of fuel cannot continue to rise on the backs of the American \u2063people while we chase some crazy Green New Deal,\u201d Donalds said. \u201cIt\u2019s a strategy which, frankly, is not going to work. We can\u2019t do that to our people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Immigration has been\u2063 Trump\u2019s calling\u2064 card\u2062 since he\u2062 first rose to political prominence in\u200c 2015, and his lines on that topic drew the biggest reaction\u200c from crowds at his New Hampshire rallies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say that a very close\u200b if not equal\u2063 problem [to the economy] is that southern border,\u201d Collins said. \u201cThat invasion that we\u2019ve got down \u200dthere on our border, we have got to address that\u200d immediately. \u2026 We\u2019ve \u200bhad 8 million people pour across that border, over a million that we didn\u2019t know about.
