With nearly a third of the votes counted,\u2062 Trump led Haley \u200cby a \u200cmargin of 54 percent to \u200d45 \u200dpercent. For all intents and purposes, the \u200bRepublican primary\u200d has concluded. The <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/columns\/how-to-think-about-a-two-incumbent-election\/\">2020 rematch<\/a> has begun.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, \u200cHaley promised to persist. &#8220;This \u200crace is far from over,&#8221;\u2063 she told supporters in Concord. &#8220;We are just \u200bgetting \u200bstarted.&#8221;\u2064 After congratulating Trump on his victory,\u2062 Haley\u200c proceeded to\u200c attack\u2064 him as a sure loser \u200din \u2064the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nearly-a-dozen-staffers-fired-by-desantis-campaign-amid-fundraising-woes\/\" title=\"Dozens of DeSantis campaign staffers fired due to fundraising troubles.\">general\u2062 election<\/a> against President Joe Biden. &#8220;A Trump nomination is a Biden win\u2064 and a Kamala Harris presidency,&#8221; she\u200b said. It remains to\u200d be\u200c seen, though, whether Haley will still be in the race when her home\u200b state of South Carolina heads to the polls\u2062 next month.\u200b Florida governor Ron DeSantis was also defiant after placing second in the Iowa caucus last \u2064week. He dropped out days later.<\/p>\n<p>Trump sounded a markedly different \u200ctone while addressing\u200c his\u2064 own\u2063 supporters later in the evening, ridiculing Haley for refusing \u2062to drop\u2063 out after\u200d &#8220;a very bad night.&#8221; Haley\u2062 was\u2062 &#8220;doing a speech \u2063like she won,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;She didn&#8217;t win. She lost.&#8221; \u2063He then turned his ire on Biden and predicted victory in the general election.\u2063 &#8220;The\u200c man\u2064 can&#8217;t put two\u200c sentences together,&#8221; Trump said of his presumptive opponent. &#8220;He can&#8217;t find the stairs\u2063 off the stage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Democratic \u200cvoters\u2064 delivered a similarly unsurprising result\u200b in their primary. Biden wasn&#8217;t\u200b on the ballot in New Hampshire, but enough voters wrote\u200b in \u200dthe \u200cpresident&#8217;s name to give him a comfortable \u200cwin over challenger Dean Phillips, the Democratic congressman from\u200c Minnesota. Biden, 81, is running for reelection despite the fact that most voters are concerned about\u2063 his age and health. Just 28 percent of Americans say \u2063Biden \u2062has &#8220;the mental sharpness it\u2063 takes to effectively serve as president,&#8221; according to a recent \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/bad-news-for-sleepy-joe-trump-is-crushing-biden-on-this-vital-metric\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now that\u200b the\u2064 New Hampshire \u2062primary is in\u2064 the books, let&#8217;s take \u2064a look at some of the winners and losers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<h3>WINNERS<\/h3>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>: He&#8217;s going to be the \u200cRepublican\u200c nominee for president, and he has a decent chance to win the general election. He&#8217;s running against an incumbent who is \u200dweak, unpopular, and 81 years old. \u2064Statistically speaking, Biden could <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/joe-biden-death-analysis\/\">drop dead<\/a> at any moment and be replaced by Kamala Harris.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Republicans<\/strong>: \u2062The party&#8217;s \u2064voters have spoken. They want \u200dTrump\u200b to be their nominee and they seem pretty \u2062pumped\u200c up about the general election. Typically when \u2063a party is out of power and \u200bpreparing to take\u2062 on an incumbent\u200d president, \u2064the primary contest can get nasty \u2063and divisive. Republicans won&#8217;t \u200bhave that problem in\u200b 2024. Roughly 80 percent of GOP voters have a <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/favorability\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">favorable opinion<\/a> \u200bof Trump, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/548138\/american-presidential-candidates-2024-election-favorable-ratings.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in line<\/a> with how \u200cDemocrats feel about Biden.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vivek Ramaswamy\u2063 and friends<\/strong>: If Trump wins \u2062the general election, Ramaswamy and other primary candidates\u2062 who endorsed Trump after ending their \u2064campaigns\u2014Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, and \u2064Doug Burgum\u2014could \u200dbe rewarded for\u2062 their support. Unless they \u2064make Trump mad\u2014then he will ruin their lives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The media<\/strong>: Trump was the best thing \u200bthat\u2062 ever \u2062happened to\u2062 the mainstream media, and he&#8217;s about\u200c to happen to them again. Ratings and profits at outlets such as CNN and the <em>Washington Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/cnns-ratings-hit-rock-bottom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have plummeted<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/washington-post-biden-fail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">since Trump left office<\/a> \u2062in 2021. Cha-ching!<\/li>\n<li><strong>The anti-Trump #Resistance<\/strong>:\u2063 This is what they wanted.\u2062 Trump&#8217;s loudest critics, the ones \u2062who keep calling \u200dhim &#8220;the single \u200dgreatest \u2063threat \u2062to\u2063 democracy in\u2064 American history,&#8221;\u2062 wanted him\u200b to be \u200dthe nominee. Some of them think he will be easier to beat, others just want to keep using\u2062 Trump&#8217;s name \u2064in fundraising appeals to panicked libs. If Trump wasn&#8217;t the\u200b nominee,\u200d they&#8217;d have to spend the next nine months screaming about how Ron DeSantis or Nikki Haley is &#8220;actually \u2062far more \u2063dangerous than Trump.&#8221;\u2062 It would have\u200d been very annoying.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<h3>LOSERS<\/h3>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The anti-Trump #Resistance<\/strong>: This is\u2063 what they wanted. The man \u200bthey call &#8220;the\u200b single greatest threat\u200b to\u200c democracy in American history&#8221; \u200dis one 81-year-old\u2064 heartbeat away from reelection. \u2062Good luck!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Joe Biden<\/strong>: He&#8217;s the\u2062 81-year-old whose heartbeat could determine &#8220;the fate of American democracy.&#8221; That&#8217;s a lot of pressure\u2063 for\u200b a \u2063man\u200b who keeps getting less and less coherent <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/watch-joe-bidens-senior-moment-of-the-week-vol-77\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by the day<\/a>. He should be enjoying his retirement on a beach somewhere, spending\u2064 time with his grandkids, and pulling strings to keep his adult son out of\u200c prison. Now he has to\u200c try\u200d to run \u2064an entire presidential \u2062campaign without embarrassing \u2062himself. This is elder abuse!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Democrats<\/strong>: They&#8217;re stuck with \u200cBiden\u2063 now.\u2064 And if he can&#8217;t make it to November,\u2063 they&#8217;re stuck with Kamala.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nikki Haley<\/strong>: She ran a solid\u200c campaign and arguably exceeded \u2064expectations, but an\u2063 outright victory in New Hampshire was\u200b her only shot\u200b at making this a \u200blegitimate two-person race, and she missed. How long until she drops out and endorses Trump?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Most Americans<\/strong>: A\u200b Trump-Biden rematch is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/04\/25\/2024-trump-biden-presidential-rematch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not what they wanted<\/a>,\u2062 but it&#8217;s what they&#8217;re going to get.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> \u2062 How will the outcome \u200cof the New Hampshire primary impact the PAA&#8217;s ability to prevent Trump from winning the general election?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Cracy,&#8221; will have another chance to try and prevent him from \u200bwinning the general election. Her poor performance in the New Hampshire primary and the lack of \u2063support she received from voters indicate that her campaign is not gaining traction. It is \u200blikely that she will drop out of the race before long.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Democrats<\/strong>: The fact that Biden won the Democratic primary \u200din New Hampshire does not \u200dbode well for the party. Despite concerns about \u200bhis\u200c age \u2064and mental \u200dsharpness, he \u2063still\u2064 managed to secure a comfortable victory over his challenger.
