However, he was less certain about whether Mayorkas would be\u200c removed from \u200chis \u200cposition.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I certainly \u2064hope so, Maria,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Look, this \u200dguy\u2063 has \u200dsubverted the laws passed by Congress, ignoring\u2064 a co-equal branch of government. \u200bIt\u2019s very clear the law says &#8216;shall detain.&#8217; And Mayorkas has done everything not to detain.
