The unspoken goal of trauma \u2064dumping is to receive praise for their vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p>A recent trauma-dumping offender who came to my attention is\u200b a\u200d girl named \u200cBrittany \u200bPietsch. Pietsch worked for a company called Cloudflare, and \u200bafter receiving an invite to a virtual\u200d meeting with her superiors,\u2062 she realized\u200b that\u2064 she was about to get laid \u200doff because of her performance. So, \u2062before the meeting, she did her hair and makeup \u200cand\u200c set up her phone to record herself being let go \u2014 again, because of her poor\u200c performance. Pietsch was a sales rep, and when\u2064 you\u2063 are in sales, you have to sell. She was, however, unable to do \u2063that.<\/p>\n<p>But never fear! TikTok is here. Not shockingly, Pietsch has a TikTok, so she took to her account\u200d to give her own spin on this situation,\u200b claiming she is actually the victim in \u2064this situation. That\u2019s right: \u200cThough she\u200d was unable to do her job, she\u2019s the victim. In this nine-minute long TikTok, a Cloudflare employee tells her they have finished reviewing performance evaluations and\u200d since Pietsch did not meet expectations, they have decided to part ways with\u2064 her.<\/p>\n<p>Pietsch holds up her hand and says, \u201cI\u2019m\u2063 going to stop you right there.\u201d She explains she\u2063 started\u2064 in August, underwent a\u2062 three<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/aoc-highly-urging-biden-administration-to-reconsider-student-loan-interest-plan\/\" title=\"AOC strongly urges Biden administration to reconsider student loan interest plan.\">-month ramp<\/a>, and only worked three weeks in December before Christmas. She claims to have \u201cthe \u2062highest activity\u201d on her team and continues by saying, \u201cI have had three contracts out, done a really great job managing my deals up until the very \u2064end.\u201d As it turns out, \u2063those three deals did not close. Regardless, Pietsch says she just does not think ending her time with Cloudflare makes\u200b any sense.<\/p>\n<h3>WATCH: Candace Owens<\/h3>\n<p>Let me \u2062stop her right there. Cloudflare letting Pietsch go actually makes plenty of sense. In her interrupting response, she basically says a lot of nothing. What activity is she referring \u200cto? She doesn\u2019t specify. Phone calls?\u2063 Because if so, that is not how she\u2019s being evaluated. Their performance evaluations are based\u2064 on the employee\u2019s\u200d ability to close deals, which she self-proclaims that she has not done. Despite the \u200dfact she \u200cgot\u200d contracts out over this three-month\u2063 ramp period, she was still \u2063unable to \u2063close a deal. Then she seems to think that because it was Christmas,\u200c Cloudflare should \u2062be more forgiving. In actuality, \u200dthe end of the year\u200c is when most deals tend to close. \u2062It sounds like Pietsch \u2064just wasn\u2019t \u200bdoing her job.<\/p>\n<p>But, no\u2063 matter. She took to TikTok to proclaim herself the victim, using the \u200bword \u201ctraumatizing\u201d in the caption \u2014 the\u200d same video in which she checks\u2063 her appearance\u200b to make sure she \u2064looks \u2064ok. This is incredibly performative; it\u2019s not vulnerable. Yet people still affirmed Pietsch\u2019s \u2063sentiments about herself in their responses in the comments telling\u2064 her she \u200bis, indeed, the victim. Why? Well, because it\u2019s TikTok and also because, \u2064apparently, TikTokers just\u200c love \u200ca good trauma dump.<\/p>\n<p>People \u2062have at least pointed to the fact\u2062 that \u2062according to her LinkedIn, Pietsch has\u2064 a history of working in sales but she doesn\u2019t seem to\u2062 be able to hold a job \u200bfor longer\u200d than a year. That is evidence for any employer \u2014 who \u200cisn\u2019t in her TikTok generation \u200c\u2014 \u2064that\u2063 maybe this is an\u2062 issue.\u2063 Maybe Pietsch, despite being concerned with her hair and makeup, actually \u2063just is not very \u200bgood at her jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Generation TikTok does not understand that the internet is forever. Pietsch may have racked up the the likes \u2064and views she wanted for her TikTok, but now, when a future employer does a simple \u200dGoogle search for her, this video is what they will find \u2014 a video of a young woman \u200cwho decided to secretly \u2062record the company \u2062she \u2063worked for because they did what most\u200d companies do: They fire people who are\u200c not performing well. Inevitably, this won\u2019t bode well\u2063 for her future. Secretly recording your \u2063company? That\u2019s not trustworthy. \u200bNot taking ownership of your work? That\u2019s not responsible.<\/p>\n<p>The question I keep returning to as we reflect on the past and simultaneously look to the future while\u2063 beginning\u200c a new year\u200c is:\u2063 Are we creating better human beings? Unfortunately, I\u2063 think the answer is, obviously not.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> How does the\u200b ability to\u2064 close deals\u2064 and generate \u200drevenue impact an\u2063 individual&#8217;s performance in a sales role \u200dand the overall success of \u200ca company?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  \u2062 Ble \u200bto \u200dclose those deals, which ultimately affects her performance and the company&#8217;s success. It is not \u200cenough\u2064 to simply \u200dhave contracts out;\u2063 the \u2062ability to close deals\u2063 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-gop-sen-capito-talk-infrastructure-deal\/\" title=\"Biden, GOP Sen. Capito Talk Infrastructure Deal\">generate revenue<\/a> is crucial\u200d in \u2062a sales role.<\/p>\n<p>Pietsch&#8217;s attempt to portray herself as \u2062the victim in this situation is misguided and self-serving. Instead of taking responsibility for her poor performance and using it as an opportunity\u2063 for\u200c growth and self-improvement, she\u2063 chooses to \u200cblame the \u200bcompany and\u200d present herself as a victim of unfair treatment.<\/p>\n<p>This type\u2064 of \u2063behavior, where individuals seek validation and sympathy by sharing their \u2063personal hardships \u2063online,\u200c is becoming increasingly\u200b common on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platforms<\/a>. It is \u200bconcerning because it perpetuates a culture\u200d of victimhood \u2062and undermines personal accountability.<\/p>\n<p>While\u2063 it is\u2062 important \u2062to \u2062create \u2064spaces where individuals can share their experiences and seek support, trauma \u200cdumping\u200b is not the solution. It not only\u2064 diminishes the\u2064 seriousness of real trauma but also detracts from \u200cthe\u2063 personal responsibility and\u2063 resilience needed for growth and progress.<\/p>\n<p>It is essential for women on the\u2063 internet, and all \u2062individuals, to\u2064 approach life&#8217;s challenges with a mindset focused \u200bon \u2063personal growth, self-improvement, \u200cand accountability. Instead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-just-had-his-deplorables-moment\/\" title=\"Biden Just Had His \u2018Deplorables\u2019 Moment\">seeking validation<\/a> and sympathy from\u200b others, it is more\u200c productive\u200d to reflect on our\u200d own actions and choices, learn\u200c from our mistakes, and \u2064strive \u200bto do better.<\/p>\n<p>In\u200c conclusion, trauma dumping is a\u2063 harmful trend that encourages individuals, particularly women,\u2062 to \u200dseek\u200d validation and\u2064 sympathy by sharing their personal hardships online. It undermines personal accountability and\u2063 hinders growth\u2062 and progress.
