Since Republicans gained control of the House\u2062 of Representatives in January 2023, he has issued over two \u200cdozen veto threats on a range of issues, including student loans, tax provisions, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/labor-board-dismisses-union-misconduct-complaints-following-biden-purge\/\" title=\"Labor Board Dismisses Union Misconduct Complaints Following Biden Purge\">labor relations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Conservatives Criticize\u2064 Veto Habit<\/h3>\n<p>The president&#8217;s frequent use of the veto\u2064 has drawn\u2064 criticism from conservatives who argue that he should work \u2063more closely with Congress. The first bill is a disapproval resolution \u200baimed at overturning the Biden\u200b administration&#8217;s decision to waive &#8220;Buy America&#8221; requirements \u200bfor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-votes-to-overturn-biden-waiver-of-buy-in-america-rules-for-ev-chargers\/\" title=\"Senate votes to overturn Biden waiver of 'buy in America' rules for EV chargers\">government-funded electric chargers<\/a>. John James (R-MI),\u2063 the bill&#8217;s \u2063primary sponsor, added, &#8220;if Joe Biden vetoes my resolution to support Americans hoping to achieve\u2064 the\u200d American dream, then \u200dAmericans should veto\u2062 Joe Biden.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In response, President Biden argues that it is Republicans \u2064in Congress who \u2062are working against the interests of ordinary voters. With\u2062 a slim\u200d Democratic majority in both the House and\u200c Senate, Biden faces an uphill battle in getting key legislation passed.
