Cori Bush Faces Backlash for Demanding\u200c Reparations<\/h2>\n<p>Rep. \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/cori-bush\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cori Bush<\/a> \u200c(D-MO) received a virtual\u2062 earful after\u200b demanding reparations\u2064 for black Americans who have suffered \u2063from \u2063the legacy of slavery, \u2063Jim Crow \u200claws, and other discriminatory policies.<\/p>\n<p>Bush took to social media to express her grievances and\u200d announce \u200dher\u2062 resolution to\u2062 address\u2063 these issues. \u2064She emphasized that the country has a debt to the descendants\u2062 of \u2062enslaved Black people, not\u200d just\u2063 for \u2064slavery, but also for the subsequent injustices they faced.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Our country owes\u2013OWES\u2013a debt to\u200b the descendants of enslaved Black people, not \u200djust for\u200d slavery, but for what followed, \u2063like Black Codes,\u200b red lining, Jim Crow, \u200dand mass incarceration.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s \u200bwhy I introduced my Reparations \u200bNOW\u2063 resolution.
