Jerry Brown signed legislation expanding Medi-Cal to foreign lawbreakers younger than 18. Then the\u2064 state\u2019s current Democrat governor,\u200c Gavin Newsom, further\u2064 expanded the program in 2019 to include illegal foreigners between \u200bthe ages of 19 and 25. The system\u2019s most recent revamping now includes coverage for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/homeland-security-secretary-mayorkas-boasts-about-ditching-the-term-illegal-alien\/\" title=\"Mayorkas proud of abandoning 'Illegal Alien' label.\">foreign\u200c nationals<\/a> as old as 50, according to The Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Roughly 700,000 illegal immigrants in the state between the age of 26 and 49 qualify for\u2063 full coverage as of Jan. 1,&#8221; the report reads.<\/p>\n<p>When pressed on the policy last month, Newsom\u2019s \u200boffice told <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/california-1st-state-offer-health-insurance-undocumented-immigrants\/story?id=105986377\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABC News<\/a> it believes &#8220;everyone deserves access to quality, affordable health care coverage \u2013 regardless of income or immigration status.&#8221; The \u200dDemocrat governor\u2019s office further claimed the \u200dpolicy makes \u200dCalifornians &#8220;healthier\u200d [and] stronger,&#8221; and gives residents \u200b&#8221;the care they need when they need it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If only Newsom bothered to prioritize the well-being of U.S. citizens suffering under California\u2019s unilateral Democrat rule. Despite being the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/articles\/20-richest-states-in-america\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wealthiest<\/a> \u2064state\u200c in the nation, California boasts the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/727847\/homelessness-rate-in-the-us-by-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">highest homeless rate<\/a> \u2062among U.S. states, \u200bonly\u2062 outdone by the 90-percent-Democrat District of\u2064 Columbia. The Golden State\u2019s once-pristine \u2062cities have also devolved into third-world hotbeds littered with <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/12\/19\/did-san-franciscos-crap-and-crime-dissuade-shohei-ohtani-from-signing-with-the-giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">crime<\/a>, drugs, and human feces since Democrats took trifecta control of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom, California Democrats, and their voters have \u200callowed these\u2063 American citizens to rot\u2062 for \u200byears. The\u200c fact \u2062that foreigners who have entered\u200d the country illegally are now receiving taxpayer-funded healthcare is \u2064a slap in the \u200dface to the millions\u2062 of law-abiding \u200ccitizens who struggle to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-collapse-of-britains-national-health-service-the-crown-jewel-of-socialized-healthcare\/\" title=\"The collapse of Britain's National Health Service, the crown jewel of socialized healthcare\">afford medical care<\/a> for themselves\u2062 and their families. It sends \u2062a message \u200bthat breaking the law and disregarding our immigration system is not \u2062only\u200d acceptable but also rewarded.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, \u2062the \u200dspecific \u200bfocus on gender reassignment surgeries raises questions about the necessity and appropriateness \u200bof \u200cusing taxpayers&#8217; money for such procedures.\u200b While it is true that \u200dindividuals should \u200bhave the right to make decisions about their own bodies, it is\u200d questionable whether this extends to taxpayer-funded surgeries that are not essential for the person&#8217;s physical \u200dhealth.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s decision to expand \u200dMedi-Cal to \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-follows-radical-agenda-in-first-72-hours\/\" title=\"Biden Follows Radical Agenda In First 72 Hours\">include illegal immigrants<\/a> is\u2063 not only financially irresponsible but also ignores the fact that there are limited resources available. By\u200b prioritizing \u200dthe healthcare needs of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/japan-bans-new-entries-of-foreigners-after-virus-variant-arrives\/\" title=\"Japan bans new entries of foreigners after virus variant arrives\">foreign nationals<\/a> over the\u200c needs of US citizens, the state \u2063is neglecting its duty to its own people.<\/p>\n<p>Another troubling aspect of this policy is the lack of transparency and input from the public. The decision to cover gender reassignment surgeries was made without consulting taxpayers or allowing them to voice their opinions on the matter. This lack of \u200cdemocratic process is concerning and undermines the \u2062trust between the government and its citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The argument that this policy makes\u200b Californians &#8220;healthier&#8221;\u2062 and &#8220;stronger&#8221; is flawed.\u2064 True progress in\u2063 healthcare comes from\u200d addressing the root causes of health issues and providing access to necessary care for those who need\u200c it most. By \u2062diverting resources to non-essential procedures for \u200ca specific group of individuals, the state\u2063 is\u200d failing to prioritize the health and well-being of its own citizens.<\/p>\n<p>It \u2062is\u200b crucial that we reevaluate and \u2064reconsider the current healthcare policies in California. Taxpayers should not be forced to foot the\u200c bill for illegal immigrants&#8217; medical procedures \u2063that are not essential \u2064for\u2064 their \u200chealth.
