He was \u200dout due to a torn meniscus, sprained \u200bMCL and a bone bruise\u200b in\u2063 his left knee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis means so much because I was so helpless last year,\u201d\u2064 Corum said.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan\u2019s victory\u2064 ended a season in \u2063which \u200dcoach Jim\u2063 Harbaugh\u200b missed six games due to two suspensions with players repeatedly saying they were fueled by the adversity. McCarthy completed 10 of 18 \u2063passes for 140 yards for the Wolverines, who outgained the Huskies 443-301.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan led by \u200dseven when\u2063 it took over with 9:44 left in the game.<\/p>\n<p>On \u200cthe first play of the drive, \u200cMcCarthy connected with Colston Loveland for a gain of\u2064 41 to the\u200c Huskies 30-yard line. Four plays \u2062later, Corum scored\u2062 on \u200da 12-yard \u2064run to give Michigan a 27-13 lead with 7:09 remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Penix lofted a 44-yard pass to Odunze with 6:18 left to get Washington in scoring range.\u2064 But the Huskies soon faced fourth-and-13 from the Wolverines \u206330, and Sainristil picked off the ball and raced\u200d the other way, setting up Corum\u2019s \u20621-yard \u2063TD run with \u20643:37\u2062 remaining.<\/p>\n<p>That touchdown \u200b\u2014 Corum\u2019s 27th on \u2062the ground and 28th overall\u2064 this\u2063 season \u2014 \u2064shut the door on the Huskies.<\/p>\n<p>The loss was just the third in 28 games for Kalen DeBoer \u2064as Washington\u2019s coach. He said he delivered a heart-felt message \u2063in\u2062 the locker \u200droom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted them to \u200dknow that even though this \u200cwasn\u2019t what we feel would \u2063happen, they restored (Washington) football and\u2063 made a \u200ccity proud and made a fan base proud and alumni proud and most of all, they showed \u2064what they\u2019re\u200b made of,\u201d DeBoer said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u200d showed heart, they showed the whole country what is special about\u2062 our place and I\u2019m so \u200cproud of \u2064them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The game\u2062 was Washington\u2019s final one as a member of the\u2063 Pac-12.
