While this may not seem like a significant margin, it&#8217;s important to note that \u2062Trump has a history\u2062 of outperforming his polling numbers. In the 2020 election, he trailed \u200cJoe Biden by 7.2% in the same average on election day and still only lost by \u20644.5%. Similarly, Hillary Clinton was leading by 3.2% in the same average on election day 2016 and\u200b only won the popular vote by 2.1%. Trump has a knack for defying expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, \u2064Biden\u2063 finds himself in \u200ba tough spot. \u2063Even political scientist Ruy Teixeira, who is not known for his right-wing views,\u2063 wrote an article in the Washington Post \u200backnowledging Biden&#8217;s struggles. Teixeira explains that Biden initially campaigned\u2062 as a moderate,\u200c but after securing the nomination, he incorporated more left-leaning policies into his campaign. Now, Biden \u200band his party \u2064are facing difficulties as they try to navigate the\u200c upcoming campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s current polling numbers are not in his favor. He is trailing Trump nationally and in \u200bmost swing states.
