Interestingly, nearly half of the participants were unaware of the mandate prior to taking part in the\u200d survey.<\/p>\n<h3>Strong Opposition to the \u2064Mandate<\/h3>\n<p>Among those who were aware of\u200c the mandate, a\u200d significant 68% expressed their opposition to it, \u200cwhile a quarter were\u2064 in favor. On the other hand,\u2064 among those who were previously unaware,\u2063 35% supported the mandate, while 45% were \u200bagainst it.<\/p>\n<h3>Political Divide<\/h3>\n<p>When \u2064examining the \u2064political affiliations of the \u200brespondents, it was found that\u200b 38%\u2062 of Democrats were in favor of the mandate, but even within this group, 45% still wanted it repealed.\u2064 On the other hand, nearly three-quarters of Republicans were \u2064against the\u2063 mandate, as were\u2064 54% of independent respondents.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 625 registered voters participated\u200d in the poll, which had a margin of error of plus or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gallup-congress-approval-rating-sinks-to-21\/\" title=\"Gallup: Congress\u2019 Approval Rating Sinks to 21%\">minus 4 percentage points<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The mandate, which mirrors California&#8217;s ban on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/two-ca-dem-senators-tell-biden-to-set-hard-date-to-eliminate-sale-of-gas-powered-vehicles\/\" title=\"Two CA Dem Senators Tell Biden To Set Hard Date To Eliminate Sale Of Gas-Powered Vehicles\">gas-powered vehicles<\/a> by 2035, was passed during the tenure of\u2062 former \u2063Democratic Governor Ralph Northam.\u2063 However, \u200dthe General Assembly failed to pass legislation last year that would have blocked the mandate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Click here to read more from The Washington Examiner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2>Is Virginia going to all electric vehicles?<\/h2>\n<p><span>They \u2063have a long way \u200cto\u200d go.
