During a campaign reception in Bethesda, Maryland, last month, \u200bBiden said \u200cthat <strong>&#8220;the greatest threat Trump poses is \u2062to our democracy.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He continued, <strong>&#8220;Because if we lose, we\u200b lose everything.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s \u2064campaign manager,\u2063 Julie Chavez Rodriguez, similarly \u200dattacked Trump as a threat, saying the <strong>&#8220;threat Donald Trump posed in 2020 to\u2062 American democracy has only grown \u200bmore dire since then.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are treating \u2062this election\u2064 like it will determine the \u200cfate of American democracy \u2013\u2062 because it will,\u201d she said in a campaign memo. <strong>\u201cHe is running a campaign on revenge and retribution \u2062\u2013 and at the\u2064 expense of\u2062 Americans\u2019\u200c freedoms.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s campaign did not provide comment \u2063to the Washington Examiner.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u2062the memo also is not the first time that Trump has moved to position Biden as the enemy of democracy and not the other\u200d way around. At a campaign event last month in \u200bCedar Rapids, Iowa, Trump accused Biden of <strong>\u201cweaponizing government against his political opponents like \u2064a third world political tyrant.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden and his radical \u200dleft allies\u2064 like to pose as\u200b standing up as allies of democracy,\u201d he said. But, Trump claimed,\u2064 <strong>\u201cJoe Biden is not the defender\u200d of American democracy; Joe Biden is the destroyer of American democracy.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In\u2062 the memo, Trump&#8217;s\u200d campaign officials began by denouncing the <strong>&#8220;unprecedented indictments by the political opposition&#8221;<\/strong> \u200c against Trump, \u2062which they argue aren&#8217;t \u2062simply aimed at the former president but are\u2063 actually <strong>&#8220;indictments against millions\u200c of freedom-loving, hardworking Americans across this \u2062country.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to LaCivita and Wiles, <strong>&#8220;These Deep \u2063State actors are hell-bent on marching\u200b your kids into \u2063another foreign war, taking away your rights under the Constitution, and leaving America\u2019s sovereignty in question.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, they said, <strong>&#8220;The only thing in their way is President Trump and those willing to stand \u200bup, go vote, and be counted.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The recent actions by the\u2064 Colorado Supreme Court and the Maine secretary of state to bar Trump\u200b from the states&#8217; respective\u2062 ballots in 2024 are a\u200d fail-safe, \u2062per the\u200b memo, in the \u200devent \u2064that the indictments don&#8217;t <strong>&#8220;provide the results for which they had \u200choped.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Never in American\u2063 history have\u200c these types of tactics been deployed\u2062 by an opposition\u200c party,&#8221;<\/strong> \u2064 they continue.<\/p>\n<p>Wiles and LaCivita treated the Republican race, \u200dfor which \u2064the first nominating contest takes place in two weeks in Iowa,\u2064 as an afterthought in\u200c the memo.\u2063 They noted Trump&#8217;s still commanding lead over his opponents in national measures, as\u200c well as\u200d in early states Iowa and New Hampshire.<\/p>\n<p>As for\u200b former U.N.
