The court\u2019s outlandish claim \u2064is that Trump is \u200bineligible to appear on the ballot because Section 3 of the 14th\u2064 Amendment\u200d says \u200bcandidates who\u2063 have \u2062\u201cengaged\u200c in insurrection\u201d are prohibited from\u200b <a title=\"Authoritarian rulers consider ways to prevent Trump from becoming president after the civil war.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/authoritarian-ruling-class-mulls-post-civil-war-measures-to-bar-trump-from-the-presidency\/\">holding\u200c public office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Left-Wing Ideologues on the Colorado Supreme Court<\/h3>\n<p>According to the court, which\u2063 is dominated\u2062 by <a title=\"Congress Has Officially Gone Gender Crazy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congress-has-officially-gone-gender-crazy\/\">left-wing ideologues<\/a> appointed by Democrat\u2064 governors (all the judges on the Colorado\u200d Supreme \u2062Court are Democrats, some are just more radical than others), Trump meets this \u2063definition because he \u201cincited\u201d a riot \u2063at the U.S. Capitol on \u2063Jan. \u200b6, 2021. Never mind that Trump\u2064 has yet to be convicted of\u2064 a crime associated with Jan. \u200d6 (or any crime for that matter) or that the 14th Amendment doesn\u2019t include\u2062 the president or \u2063vice president in a list of offices \u2062to which its Section 3 provision applies. For the leftists on the Colorado Supreme Court, it\u2019s\u2063 enough to declare Trump an insurrectionist and \u2064 <em>viola!<\/em> He\u2019s off the \u2062ballot \u2014 all \u200bin \u2062the name of \u201cdefending\u2062 democracy.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>David French called it a \u201cbold, courageous\u2062 decision,\u201d but setting aside \u200dthe constitutional\/legal debate, consider what it means practically. About 1.4 million Coloradans voted\u2063 for Trump\u200b in 2020. All those voters, if\u2064 they want to vote for Trump again this time, have \u2062been disenfranchised by \u200bthe court. That\u2019s bad enough, but the left\u2019s\u2062 strategy here is larger than just \u2063one state. \u2062Before the \u2062ink was dry on the Colorado ruling, California Democrats leapt into action. The lieutenant governor, Eleni Kounalakis, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ccadelago\/status\/1737538069505745356?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sent a letter<\/a> to Secretary of \u2064State\u200d Shirley Weber asking her to \u201cexplore every legal option to remove former President Donald Trump from California\u2019s <a title=\"House position on immigration reform remains in favor of implementing a border wall\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/good-hr-2-with-a-border-wall-is-still-house-position-on-immigration-reform\/\">2024\u200c presidential primary ballot<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is \u2063prosecuting Trump \u2064for his alleged role in the \u200cJan. 6 riot, this\u200c week asked the U.S. Supreme Court to step in and rule on the case before the \u200blower court issues a ruling. As Byron York\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ByronYork\/status\/1737877934864519366?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>, Smith\u2019s frantic brief doesn\u2019t state the obvious: \u200b\u201cHe\u2019s rushing to try Trump so Trump can \u200dbe convicted and jailed <em>before the election<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Plenty of smart people have pointed out <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jarvis_best\/status\/1737529218848772427?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the glaring problems<\/a> with the Colorado Supreme Court\u2019s interpretation of Section \u200b3 of the 14th Amendment. Namely, it stipulates \u2062Congress must\u200c establish a procedure for barring someone from office for engaging in \u200dinsurrection, which Congress did, twice, first in 1870 and\u200d again in \u20631948. In the\u200d latter instance, Congress created a criminal insurrection law, 18 U.S.C.\u200b \u00a7 2383, which is the enforcement mechanism for Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The key\u200b point here is that Trump has not been charged or convicted under that statute, which \u2064means the U.S. Supreme\u200d Court\u200c will almost certainly overturn the \u2064Colorado Supreme Court\u2019s garbage ruling.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>A\u2064 Question of Power<\/h3>\n<p>But set aside \u200cthe legal fight because\u200c it doesn\u2019t\u2062 matter to the left. For Biden and the Democrats, this isn\u2019t really a\u200d question of what the Constitution does or doesn\u2019t say. This is a question of power and how far they will go to keep it. From \u2062the politicized court ruling in Colorado\u200d to \u200bthe four criminal indictments\u200c against Trump amounting \u2064to 91 felony \u2063charges to Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/kylenabecker\/status\/1737508371236888845?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement last November<\/a> that he\u2019ll use the Constitution to ensure that Trump \u201cwill not take power\u201d and will not \u201cbecome the next president,\u201d what we have \u2064amounts to an open conspiracy \u200cto rig \u200dthe 2024 election by preventing voters from\u2063 casting a ballot for the likely GOP \u200dnominee.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s not too much to call this a coup or a color revolution. If \u200dDemocrats get away with this, we\u2062 won\u2019t\u2063 be able \u200cto say we have a republic anymore for the\u200d simple reason that we won\u2019t have anything\u200c like free and fair elections. Democracy in America will be\u200b reduced\u2062 to something like Democracy in\u2064 Iran or Russia, where only \u2064regime-approved candidates \u2064are allowed to appear\u200c on the ballot.<\/p>\n<p>And\u2063 don\u2019t think this will \u2063end if the U.S. Supreme Court strikes\u200c down the Colorado\u2062 decision. The Democrats will \u2064see it \u200cas a mere setback, not a\u200c defeat \u2014 and certainly not a deterrent. When they say, as they have been quite often \u2063lately, that Trump will never leave office if he wins next November, or that 2024 will be our last election ever \u200bif Trump prevails, \u200bthey\u2019re really\u200d talking about themselves. What\u2062 they say Trump will do\u2064 if he becomes president\u200c again is what they\u2019re doing right\u2062 now, before a watching \u200bworld.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>What are the concerns of the author regarding the actions of the left-wing ideologues on the Colorado Supreme Court?<\/h2>\n<p>As not been convicted of any crime related to the events of January 6, 2021,\u200d and therefore cannot be considered to \u200chave engaged in insurrection as defined by the law.<\/p>\n<p>However, the left-wing ideologues on the Colorado Supreme Court have chosen to\u2063 ignore these\u200c facts and push forward with their <a title=\"\u2018These Biological Males Are Just Taking It Away From Us\u2019: High School Girl Athlete Blasts Biden Administration For Abandoning Her Lawsuit\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/these-biological-males-are-just-taking-it-away-from-us-high-school-girl-athlete-blasts-biden-administration-for-abandoning-her-lawsuit\/\">politically motivated decision<\/a> to bar Trump from the ballot in the upcoming \u2062election. This not only undermines the democratic process, but it \u2064also disenfranchises the millions of Coloradans who voted for Trump in 2020 and wish \u2062to vote for\u200d him again.<\/p>\n<p>But this isn&#8217;t \u200bjust about one state. The left&#8217;s desperate attempts \u200cto prevent Trump \u200bfrom winning a \u2064second\u2063 term extend beyond Colorado. California Democrats have already begun their own efforts to remove Trump from the 2024 presidential primary ballot. The lieutenant\u2063 governor of California has called for every \u2062legal option to be explored in\u200b order to exclude Trump from the election.<\/p>\n<p>In addition \u2063to these state-level actions, Special Counsel Jack\u200c Smith, who is prosecuting Trump for \u200chis alleged role in the January 6 riot, has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene and rule on \u2063the case before the lower court issues a verdict. This rush to judgment \u200dis a clear attempt \u2063to convict and jail Trump before the \u200delection, effectively removing \u2064him from the race.<\/p>\n<p>The left&#8217;s actions\u2064 in attempting to stop Trump&#8217;s\u2062 second term \u2064go against the principles of \u200bdemocracy and the rule of law. They are willing to twist the U.S. Constitution and ignore established legal procedures in order to hold on to power. This should raise serious concerns for all Americans, \u200dregardless of their political affiliation.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2062Colorado Supreme Court&#8217;s interpretation of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment\u2063 is flawed and does not align \u200bwith the \u200bactual wording \u200dand intent of the law. Congress has already established\u2062 a procedure for dealing \u200cwith acts of insurrection, and it has not convicted Trump of any such crime. The left&#8217;s attempt to use this interpretation to bar Trump from the ballot is a blatant abuse of power \u2063and a threat to democracy.<\/p>\n<p>It\u200d is important for all Americans to recognize and speak out against \u2062these desperate and undemocratic actions by\u200d the left. Our democracy relies on a fair and transparent election process, where all eligible candidates have the opportunity to participate. Attempting to exclude a \u200dcandidate based on partisan motives \u2063and unsupported claims is a dangerous precedent that should \u2064not be\u2063 allowed\u2062 to stand.<\/p>\n<p>As we \u2064approach the 2024\u2064 presidential election, it is crucial that we remain vigilant in protecting the integrity of our democracy. We must reject\u2062 any attempts to undermine the election process and deny the will of the people.
