This movement \u200cgained momentum \u2064after the \u200bnation was shaken by the death of George Floyd.<\/p>\n<p>Administrative Law Judge Ariel Sotolongo\u2064 ruled that such apparel does not contribute to the goals of employment at Whole Foods. It was also \u2063determined that \u2064wearing BLM messaging \u200dviolates the company&#8217;s employee dress code.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;The fact that BLM may be a movement of great significance to African Americans,\u2064 and that its goals are\u2062 valid, \u200cdoes not mean that a\u2064 rule prohibiting the displaying \u200bof such message at work is\u2063 &#8216;racist,&#8217; as some employees implied,&#8221; he\u2064 wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The case is not closed, as the general\u200b counsel has the option \u200dto appeal\u2063 the ruling to \u2063the board in Washington\u2062 D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Stay informed!
