As Mark Hemingway reported at the time, documents prepared\u200b as part of the legal proceedings specifically alleged\u2064 that \u2062James used company cash to stuff his pocketbook via \u200ba six-figure personal loan \u200bbut did not deliver\u2062 on his promise to \u200cuse the Biden family \u200cname to \u2064bring \u200bthe company investments\u2063 from the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Biden told me] there\u2019s\u2064 not a \u2064single \u200bdoor\u200d in\u2063 the country \u200bthat we can\u2019t \u2064open. So if I wanted to meet, you know,\u2063 the head of Google,\u2063 it\u2019s a phone call,\u201d White said. \u201cHe always \u200brepresented himself as the fundraiser \u200cfor his\u200c brother\u2019s campaigns. \u2026 He was the guy raising the money and so he knew everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Corporate media \u2063like Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/03\/09\/james-biden-health-care-ventures-123159\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">acknowledged<\/a> that James \u201cintroduced Americore\u2019s \u2063founder to his older brother\u201d \u2062but never paid back the loan in full. \u2062James eventually paid Americore a $350,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/james-biden-settles-loan-lawsuit-tied-to-rural-hospitals-bankruptcy-11664236240\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">settlement<\/a> over the loan\u2063 dispute.<\/p>\n<p>Americore Chapter\u200d 11 Trustee Carol\u200c Fox confirmed to the House Oversight Committee on\u200d Monday that \u2064the company quietly loaned $600,000 to James on the condition \u200cthat his political connections would bring\u200d the company funding from the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Americore handed over $200,000 of the loan to James in March 2018,\u2064 a decision that\u200b Fox said \u2064the company deliberately decided to\u200b do without documentation.
