Survey Reveals Shocking Views of\u2062 Gen Z on Israel\u200b and Palestine<\/h2>\n
More than half of the members of Generation Z responding to a new survey about the Middle East believe the long-term answer<\/a> to peace is \u2063for Israel\u2019s land\u2064 to be given to the Palestinians.<\/p>\n
The Harvard-Harris survey<\/a> was conducted\u2064 online from Dec. 13-14\u200c among 2,034 registered U.S. voters. No margin of error was given.<\/p>\n
The survey found that on several questions concerning \u2064Israel, Hamas and the Palestinian people\u200b received far more support from voters between the ages of 18 and 24 than \u200cfrom any other age \u200bgroup.<\/p>\n
One question on the long-term future of the region gave \u200brespondents three options: \u201cfor\u2063 Arab states to absorb the Palestinians, for\u2063 there to be two states, \u2062Israel and Palestine, or for Israel to be ended and given to Hamas<\/a> and the Palestinians?\u201d<\/p>\n
Fifty-one percent of Gen Z<\/a> \u200c respondents said Israel should be abolished, with 32 percent saying there should be two states and 17 percent favoring Arab stats\u200d absorbing the\u2062 Palestinians.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s such a \u2062messy poll, too. 69%\u2063 of gen z thinks Israel has a right to exist as a jewish homeland \u2013 but also 51% of them\u200b think Israel should be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians. There really are no words.<\/p>\n

Following a pattern throughout \u200dthe questions on Hamas and the Middle East, respondents 25-34\u200b were the only \u2063ones close to Gen\u2064 Z, with 31 percent favoring the end of Israel, 49 percent a two-state solution and 20 percent having Arab nations deal \u200dwith the issue.<\/p>\n

When respondents \u200cover 65 gave their answers, only 4 percent\u200d would abolish Israel<\/a>, 71 percent support two states and 25 percent supported\u2064 letting Arab\u2063 states house the Palestinians. Overall, only \u206419 percent of those responding favored an end to Israel, 60 percent called for two states, and 21 percent felt Arab states should take in the Palestinians.<\/p>\n
Republican Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas said the poll\u2062 provided disturbing results, according to the New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The poll said that overall, 84 percent of respondents said the Oct. 7\u200b attack \u2063on Israel was terrorism, with younger voters in\u2063 the 18-24 and 25-34 range\u2063 the \u2062lowest at 73 percent and 71 percent respectively.<\/p>\n
When asked if the Oct. 7 attack\u2064 was justified by the grievances of \u2062the Palestinians, overall 73 percent said it was not justified, but the younger age range\u2063 felt very differently.<\/p>\n

In the 18-24 age range, 60 percent said the attack was\u200c justified<\/a>. In the 25-35 range, 44 percent,\u200b the next highest, said it was justified. This compares with respondents over 65 of \u200dwhom only 9 percent said it was justified.<\/p>\n
Overall, respondents supported Israel 81 \u200dpercent to 19 percent in the ongoing war, but the balance was 50-50 in the 18-24 age group, with support for Hamas declining with age.<\/p>\n
