Other aggravated drivers could be seen shouting\u2064 at the \u2062demonstrators.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Tensions heighten between \u2063drivers and protestors on the 110 Freeway DTLA, as the roadway is blocked during Wednesday a.m. rush hour traffic <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rO1itiCJy7\">pic.twitter.com\/rO1itiCJy7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 KCAL News (@kcalnews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kcalnews\/status\/1735004296331100506?\">December 13, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Did the pro-Hamas protesters think their display on \u200dthe\u200b 110 was\u2062 going to convince <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/israeli-activist-gives-area-outside-rashida-tlaibs-office-makeover-tells-dem-shame\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel<\/a> to agree to a \u2064cease-fire?<\/p>\n<p>On \u200dOct. 7 \u2014 a day\u200b that the Israelis will never\u200c and should \u2063never forget \u2014 Hamas launched\u2064 an\u2064 attack on Israel\u2063 and ruthlessly slaughtered thousands of innocents.\u2063 It bears \u2062repeating: Hamas launched the initial attack on Israel.<\/p>\n<p>What were the Israelis to do? Ask Hamas not\u2063 to commit such horror again and hope for the best?<\/p>\n<p>None of it\u200b makes\u2064 sense.\u200c Hamas \u2014 fueled by a generational <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jewish-man-performs-duty-california-synagogue-despite-suffering-vile-hate-crime-en-route\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hatred of Jews<\/a> \u2014 attacked\u2064 Israel on a meritless land claim.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b Jewish people&#8217;s history in the region goes\u2064 back as far as\u2064 1000 B.C. The only people who lived there before that were the\u200c Canaanites, who\u2063 were semi-nomadic and no longer exist as a people.<\/p>\n<p>The term &#8220;Palestine&#8221; \u200dcomes \u2063from the Roman Empire, which, after taking over the land \u2062of Israel, renamed it &#8220;Palestina&#8221;\u2063 in the hopes that its Jewish heritage would be erased. Arab Muslims didn&#8217;t even\u2062 enter the\u2064 picture until after Roman rule.<\/p>\n<p>Simply\u200c put, Hamas&#8217; claims\u200b are, at best, fever \u200ddreams spawned by an unquenchable\u2063 hatred.<\/p>\n<p>Even a liberal atheist like Sam Harris understands this.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The truth is that there is an obvious, undeniable and hugely consequential moral difference \u2064between Israel\u2062 and her enemies. The Israelis are surrounded by people who have explicitly genocidal intentions towards them,&#8221; Harris said in\u200c a 2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samharris.org\/podcasts\/making-sense-episodes\/why-dont-i-criticize-israel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/avalon.law.yale.edu\/20th_century\/hamas.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">charter<\/a> of Hamas is explicitly genocidal. It \u200dlooks forward\u2062 to a time, based on Quranic prophecy, when the \u200dearth itself will cry out \u2064for Jewish blood, \u2062where the trees and the stones will \u200csay, &#8216;O Muslim, there&#8217;s a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a\u2063 political document,&#8221; Harris continued. &#8220;We are talking about a government that was voted into power by \u2063a majority\u2063 of Palestinians.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Either the protesters on the 110 are willfully ignorant of their cause, or their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/remember-we-are-the-majority-here-are-ideas-on-what-we-can-do-moving-forward\/\" title=\"Remember We Are the Majority \u2013 Here Are Idea\u2019s On What We Can Do Moving Forward\">critical thinking skills<\/a> have been\u2064 eaten\u200c away by the radical left. Either way, their actions were \u2063criminal.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u2064 KCAL, 75 protesters \u2063were \u2064detained by the California Highway Patrol when they refused to get off \u200dthe road. Then \u2063again, there&#8217;s not much critical thinking being taught\u2063 in\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/radical-teacher-fails-student-quiz-refuses-accept-liberal-agenda-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">schools<\/a> these days,\u200c especially in California\u200c and other\u2062 liberal strongholds.<\/p>\n<p>Most\u2063 of the pro-Hamas protesters are probably products of the\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nyc-public-schools-inundated-with-immigrant-students-on-first-day-angry-and-concerned\/\" title=\"NYC schools overwhelmed by immigrant students: 'Angry and worried'\">public school\u2062 system<\/a>. Blocking \u200ca major\u2063 freeway during rush hour not only inconveniences thousands of innocent people\u200c trying to\u2062 go about their daily lives,\u2062 but it also does nothing to further their cause or bring about \u2062any meaningful change.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it is\u200d safe\u200c to say that \u2062not a single driver stuck in\u200c traffic due to \u2063the protests was convinced \u2062to support the pro-Palestinian position. If \u2064anything, the frustration caused by the\u2064 blockage only served to create tension between the drivers and the protesters. Videos posted\u200b on social \u2064media show drivers \u2064shouting at the demonstrators and even engaging in physical altercations.<\/p>\n<p>This raises \u2063the questions: Did\u200b the pro-Hamas protesters really believe that \u200cblocking \u200da freeway would convince Israel to agree to a cease-fire? Did they think\u2063 that inconveniencing innocent drivers would change anyone&#8217;s mind or win\u2063 the hearts and minds of\u2062 the\u2063 people?<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the \u2064reality is that Hamas has a long history of launching attacks on Israel and holding explicit genocidal intentions towards the\u200c Jewish people. Their \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-pro-palestinian-spin-meets-hamass-horrific-abuses-of-israeli-women-and-children\/\" title=\"VIDEO: Pro-Palestinian Bias Exposed: Hamas's Brutal Attacks on Israeli Women and Children\">charter explicitly calls<\/a>\u200c for the killing of Jews and looks forward to a time when the earth itself will cry out for Jewish blood. This is not\u200d a peaceful or rational stance to take.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the history of the Jewish people&#8217;s connection to the region goes back thousands\u2062 of years, long before the term &#8220;Palestine&#8221; was\u2062 even coined. The land of Israel has deep historical and religious significance to the Jewish people, and their claims to the land are rooted in centuries of heritage and connection.<\/p>\n<p>Attempting to block a freeway in Los Angeles \u2063to advocate for Hamas and demand a cease-fire does nothing to address these complex historical and geopolitical realities. It only serves to create \u2064tension and frustration among innocent drivers who have no control over the situation.<\/p>\n<p>If individuals truly care about advocating for \u200bpeace and justice in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, they should\u2062 focus their \u200cefforts on\u200b engaging \u2062in constructive dialogue,\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/israel-hamas-truce-expires-fighting-resumes\/\" title=\"Israel and Hamas resume fighting as truce expires\">supporting diplomatic initiatives<\/a>, and promoting a better understanding of the complexities of the situation. \u2062Blocking a freeway during rush hour is not \u2064only counterproductive but also\u200d shows a lack of critical thinking and understanding of the issues at hand.<\/p>\n<p>As tensions continue to escalate in the\u2063 Middle\u2062 East, it\u2064 is important to remember that lasting peace can only be achieved \u2062through open and respectful dialogue, not through disruptive and\u200b ineffective actions. It \u200bis time for all parties involved to come together and work \u200dtowards a \u200dpeaceful resolution\u200b that respects the rights and security of all \u2062people involved.
