These efforts\u200d are likely to\u2062 grow as a possible impeachment \u2063draws nearer.<\/p>\n<h3>Here are\u2063 five Democrats who \u200chave fallen in \u200bline behind Biden amid the\u2063 formalization of the \u200cimpeachment inquiry:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\n    <strong>Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The idea that they are going to somehow get to President Biden through his son,\u200b who was drug addicted, and the \u2062only \u200dthing that they have revealed in these hearings is that we have a president who\u2062 loves his son, even through his\u200b imperfections,&#8221; Crockett said in an appearance on\u200b MSNBC.<\/p>\n<p>Crockett slammed \u2064Republican members on the House \u2064Oversight\u2062 Committee as being &#8220;nonsense\u200c Republicans&#8221; this \u2064week, also ridiculing the &#8220;Biden crime family&#8221; label the GOP members of the committee have given to their \u200dinvestigation into Biden.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    <strong>Rep. \u200cJamie Raskin\u200d (D-MD)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On\u200d Wednesday, Raskin, ranking\u200b member \u200bof the Oversight\u2063 Committee, accused Republicans of not knowing \u200dwhat they \u2063were aiming to impeach Biden over.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We take it that the Republicans, if they \u2062can get \u2063their votes together, are planning \u2064to \u200bvote to conduct\u200b an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-on-cuomo-allegations-we-should-see-what-investigation-brings-us\/\" title=\"Biden on Cuomo Allegations: We should see what investigation brings us\">impeachment inquiry today<\/a>, a repetition of everything\u200c that we&#8217;ve seen over the last 11 months,&#8221; he \u2063told reporters. &#8220;But we are in a remarkable juncture \u200dfor the U.S. House of Representatives. Because this is an impeachment inquiry \u2064where no one has been able to define what criminal \u200bor constitutional offense they&#8217;re looking \u2064for. We don&#8217;t know what the crime\u200c is.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You know,\u2064 the mysteries are called a\u200c &#8216;whodunit&#8217; because\u200c it starts with a crime, and then\u2062 you try to determine who\u2063 committed it. This\u2063 is more like a &#8216;what is it,&#8217; not \u200ba\u2062 whodunit,&#8221; Raskin quipped. &#8220;We don&#8217;t know \u2062what the crime is. And\u200c there are \u200dthousands and thousands of pages of\u200c evidence, but all of the evidence demonstrates,\u200d beyond any reasonable \u2062doubt, \u2062that President Joe Biden is not guilty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    <strong>Rep. Eric\u2063 Swalwell (D-CA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Swalwell has been\u2064 a consistent defender of \u2062Biden and continued his defense when speaking ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mike-johnson-says-biden-impeachment-inquiry-is-result-of-stonewalled-investigation\/\" title=\"Mike Johnson claims that the impeachment inquiry against Biden is a consequence of an obstructed investigation\">impeachment \u2064inquiry vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The only crime is that\u2064 Joe Biden blew out Donald Trump in the \u200d2020 election,&#8221; \u200dhe\u200c said. &#8220;And that&#8217;s a \u2063problem because this\u200d place \u2064is\u200d the largest law\u2063 firm in D.C., with these lawyers working on \u200cbehalf of just \u2063one client, Donald\u200c Trump,\u2062 at the expense of everything else that matters. But \u2062I want\u200d to give James Comer some \u200ccredit because, after 50,000 pages of depositions and secret\u2064 hearings and closed hearings, I\u200c think, if we give \u2063them enough time,\u200b he&#8217;s going to prove that Hunter\u2063 Biden\u200b is Joe Biden&#8217;s\u200c son.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    <strong>Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Ocasio-Cortez, who has feuded with Biden recently over his stance on the Israel-Hamas war, focused\u2064 her attack\u2062 on the inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Secondly, it&#8217;s also important to note\u200d that not only is\u200d the committee not allowing Hunter Biden to testify publicly, \u2062but \u200dthey have not called a\u200b single\u2064 witness, a\u200c single\u2063 firsthand witness,\u2062 to any of their allegations,&#8221; she said. &#8220;They \u200chaven&#8217;t allowed anybody to testify publicly \u200bbecause they do not have a single\u2064 witness\u2063 to any \u200bof their alleged allegations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So this is just storytelling at\u200b this point,&#8221; the \u200dNew York Democrat continued. &#8220;This is a\u2064 nice story. And to add to ranking member Raskin&#8217;s questions, there&#8217;s not,\u2063 this is not just a &#8216;whodunit,&#8217;\u2062 it&#8217;s not just a &#8216;what\u200d is it,&#8217; but it&#8217;s also \u2063a &#8216;where&#8217;s the beef?&#8217; And they don&#8217;t\u2062 have any, \u2063so this, \u200cright now, is a \u200dwaste of our time, and\u200c we should go back to legislating for\u200b the \u200cactual \u200cbenefit of the American \u200dpeople.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    <strong>Rep. Pramila Jayapal \u200b(D-WA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Jayapal condemned the vote in favor of\u200c the impeachment inquiry, blaming \u200cit on &#8220;extreme MAGA Republicans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With absolutely zero evidence, every single House Republican has voted to open a sham impeachment inquiry,&#8221; she said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. &#8220;Rather than focus on what working families across America need, extreme MAGA Republicans \u2064would rather\u2063 pull political stunts.
