The reason students on college campuses have \u2062lunged toward the proverbial leftist cliff is readily found in America\u2019s K-12 public school classrooms, where teachers are politically grooming students, usually with the consent\u200d of school and district administrators.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, a middle school social studies teacher in Seattle Public Schools, Ann\u200d Christianson, encouraged \u2062her\u200b students to \u200bwrite hate messages\u200c to Moms for Liberty. In an \u200benvelope with the return address\u2063 listed as Seattle Public Schools headquarters, Christianson mailed her students\u2019 letters with a message of \u200dher\u2063 own:\u200d \u201cDear Moms for Liberty,\u201d she wrote, \u201cPlease read the enclosed cards\u200b from concerned middle school students<\/a> in Seattle.\u201d<\/p>\n

These young children\u2019s messages included, \u201cGay is slay. Stop being a rat,\u201d\u200d and \u201cLGBTQ+ rights are human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
A representative from Seattle \u200bPublic \u2064Schools tried to abdicate the district\u2019s responsibility by stating\u200c that the Moms for Liberty letters were \u2062part of \u201can independent activity and not part\u200c of the school curriculum.\u201d The representative did not indicate whether \u2063or not the teacher had been disciplined for her \u200binappropriate assignment.<\/p>\n
Aside from the social-emotional lessons and critical race theory embedded<\/a> in \u2063standard public\u2064 school curricula and the transgender\u2063 flags and safe-space signs adorning the hallways and classrooms in schools across the country, \u200dteachers like Christianson are brainwashing America\u2019s children without any form of recourse from public school administrators.<\/p>\n
Teachers Get Political<\/h2>\n
Maintaining close \u200ccommunication with our children about what they are learning in their classrooms has never been more important.<\/p>\n
Public schools in Fairfax\u200b County, Virginia, located just outside our nation\u2019s capital, have an oversupply of rogue teachers engaging\u2064 in their own\u200b polemic monologues and assigning one-sided political projects to even the youngest students. These rogue teachers intentionally abuse \u2064their profession and\u2063 taxpayer dollars\u2063 to\u200c politically manipulate America\u2019s children. Doing so is not only unprofessional but immoral.<\/p>\n
Most\u2064 recently, a\u200c seventh-grade science\u2062 teacher in Fairfax County\u2019s public schools tried to manipulate her \u2062students about the issue of wolf restoration in Yellowstone National Park. She spent two weeks \u200cproviding the 12-year-old students all of the \u200barguments \u2063in favor of restoring wolves. The teacher presented\u200b one side of a controversial issue to her students and\u2064 expected them to adopt her perspective. In \u2063fact, she \u2062was so righteous about her cause that in an Oct. 18 email to parents discussing the \u200bunit, she \u200badmitted\u2062 that in\u200b their assigned letters to Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., the district\u2019s congressional representative, students must \u201c[encourage him] to\u200c continue \u2064support of the restoration.\u201d<\/p>\n
That is a clear example\u200d of political indoctrination.\u2062 The principal\u2019s initial response was dismissive and in defense of the teacher. She wrote, \u201c[The teacher] did share with me that she verbally told\u200d students \u2064that if they wanted to write their letter in support of the ranchers, they could do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
With more parental \u2064correspondence and\u2062 persuasion, the principal \u2063eventually conceded\u2064 that there was something amiss. \u200cIn an email dated Nov. 2, she wrote, \u201cWhile\u2062 the teacher was passionate about the topic \u2062and was\u200b trying\u2064 to make a connection to real-world application \u200bfor students, the [assignment] was not in alignment with our\u200b controversial issues policy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anti-White Racism and Gender Ideology<\/h2>\n
Like \u2064in many liberal districts across the nation,\u2064 individual teachers\u2019 snide leftist comments and \u200cpolemic monologues are systemic in Fairfax County\u2019s public schools.<\/p>\n
Last month, for example, a ninth-grade English teacher, who is white, referred to \u2063one of her students\u2064 condescendingly as \u201ca basic white boy\u201d in front\u200d of the entire class. \u200dShe\u200b subsequently \u2064referred to Shakespeare\u2019s Romeo as <\/p>\n
What impact can\u2063 the influence\u2063 of leftist teachers have on students \u200doutside of \u200dthe classroom?<\/h2>\n
Dollars to push their own political agendas onto impressionable young minds.<\/p>\n
One example \u2064of this is \u2063a fifth-grade teacher at Pine\u200b Spring Elementary School in Fairfax\u200b County who assigned\u200c her students a\u200d project to create anti-Trump campaign ads. The students were tasked with researching negative attributes about\u2063 the former president and creating campaign materials to\u200d convince voters \u200bnot to support him. This blatant act of political indoctrination not only violates the principles of \u200bimpartiality but also undermines the critical thinking skills<\/a> that students should be developing in \u2063school.<\/p>\n
It is important to note that not all teachers are guilty of \u200bsuch egregious behavior. Many educators strive \u2064to provide unbiased information<\/a> and encourage\u200b students to think critically about all sides of \u200can issue.
