People are not property and children have rights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This issue has come up recently because same-sex couples have begun to purchase children through surrogacy \u2062and in vitro fertilization. Liberals celebrate this novelty. Most conservatives \u200cfind \u2062it instinctively abhorrent. \u200dBut even some\u2063 self-styled conservatives celebrate\u2064 it \u200ctoo. The reason for this unusual degree of confusion and controversy\u2064 is that the \u200dissue is entirely new. Nothing like this has ever happened before\u2064 in human history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And the reason for that is two-fold: first,\u2064 our \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/knowles-republicans-govs-must-oppose-vaccine-passports-or-forget-about-2024\/\" title=\"KNOWLES: Republicans Govs Must Oppose Vaccine Passports Or Forget About 2024\">political order<\/a> has, for the first time in the history of\u200b our civilization, denied the necessity of sexual difference to marriage\u200d \u2014 that is, our system \u200cof law has, for the first time \u200bever, denied the difference between men and women. \u2064The second reason is technological: For the first time in the\u2062 history of the world, we can create and gestate human life outside \u2062of the conjugal\u2064 act. \u2062For\u2064 the first time ever, we\u200c can make babies without sex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unfortunately, technology and ideology have outpaced bioethical inquiry. To\u200d quote Jeff Goldblum\u2019s character in \u200d\u201cJurassic Park,\u201d \u201cYour scientists \u2062were \u2064so preoccupied with whether or not they \u2064could that\u2063 they didn\u2019t stop to think if they should.\u201d The full quote from that \u200dscene is even more apt. Goldblum\u2019s character says, \u201cThe\u200d lack\u200b of humility before \u200dnature \u2063that\u2019s being displayed here \u2063staggers me.\u201d He describes the scientists\u2019 actions as \u201ca violent, \u2064penetrative act that scars what it explores.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Entirely\u200c true. \u200dAnd in the\u200b case\u2064 of surrogacy and IVF, what the discovery \u2014 both\u2063 technologically and politically \u2014\u200c explores and scars is people, \u2064specifically,\u2062 innocent \u2062little babies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/the-michael-knowles-show\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WATCH: The Michael Knowles Show<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The case \u200dof \u200dhomosexual men \u200cpurchasing children through surrogacy is particularly and most obviously egregious because\u200c it involves creating babies with\u2062 the express intent of denying \u200cthem their mothers. The\u2062 bond between babies and their mothers is the most intimate bond human beings ever experience. The mother is the very environment in\u200d which a baby forms. The \u200bmother\u2019s voice is\u200d the first voice the baby ever hears. Mother and \u200cchild share the nutrients that \u200dsustain them, both before and \u2064after birth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many children grow up without mothers. For all of history, motherlessness has been a\u2064 rare\u200d and unfortunate event \u200cin a fallen world that leaves a wound to be healed as best it can be. Today, motherlessness is an intentional political program undertaken with the blessing of the law, which now holds the presumed right of men \u200cto \u2063children trumps the actual\u200b right of\u2064 children to \u200btheir mothers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sadly, this phenomenon,\u200b though recent, has now occurred for long enough we can read the accounts\u200d of children \u200bwho lament the trials that \u200caccompany this unnecessary hardship. The writer Katy Faust has <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/author\/katyfaust\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">detailed such anecdotes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  in The\u2063 Federalist. The biological hardships:\u2064 Children conceived through surrogacy and IVF \u2064face \u200dmore health problems\u2062 and they tend to be born premature and underweight. Worse still, there are the psychological \u200cand spiritual hardships: \u200bEnvy of their friends with mothers, the hatred of Mother\u2019s Day, the pressure not to \u2062express \u200ctheir anguish\u200b because it might \u200bmake the men who raised them sad. The social \u200dadjustment issues. The difficulties bonding \u200cwith \u200dthe non-biological father. The identity issues. The constant wondering about half-siblings, the existence of \u2063whom they are legally barred\u200d from knowing. \u200dThe increased risk of depression. The increased likelihood of being prescribed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/antidepressants-overprescribed-linked-to-suicide-risk\/\" title=\"Antidepressants Overprescribed, Linked to Suicide Risk\">antidepressant drugs<\/a>. The total neglect\u200d of their reasonable suffering by a society more concerned with\u2064 stamping out imaginary phobias than with protecting the\u200d natural rights of children. The basic, universal longing\u2063 of children for their mothers because moms and dads are different.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s ghastly, \u2062absolutely\u200b horrific. It is just about as rotten a thing as a society can possibly do to a child. But unlike many who have opined on this issue, I don\u2019t even really blame the homosexuals. It\u2019s easy to\u200c look at the situation and accuse these adult \u2062men of selfishness. And they are selfish \u2014 obviously. They put their own desires \u2014 their\u200c natural desire to have children along with their disordered desire to exclude women from \u200dthe process \u2014 ahead of the rights \u2063and interests of their prospective children. \u200dBut I suspect most of them don\u2019t know it. In their defense, they\u2019ve been told by the culture for some 60\u2062 years now that men and women really aren\u2019t different. And \u200bif men\u200d and women aren\u2019t\u200c different, then moms and dads aren\u2019t different.\u2062 And \u2062if moms\u200d and\u2064 dads aren\u2019t different, then why would anyone need or\u2063 even want to have \u2064both? What\u2019s the\u200d difference between a family and a couple\u2062 of \u2064fellas?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t mention these \u200bharsh\u2063 truths to make the men who have \u200bfallen for this lie and \u200btemptation \u200dfeel bad. I don\u2019t \u2064suggest we take away their children, though \u200bwe might endeavor as best we can to introduce these children\u2063 to \u200dtheir mothers. But this is a fallen world. There is no way to undo the terrible crime that has been perpetrated on many people \u2014 the children,\u200c most of all, but even the men who were told they were doing nothing wrong. \u200dThe\u2063 men who sincerely believed that and who might now be \u2062listening to this speech thinking in horror, wondering, \u201cWhat have \u200bI done?\u201d It\u2019s a terrible feeling. We\u2019ve all made mistakes \u2014 some, of course, more egregious than others. But there\u2019s no \u2064sense in\u2063 trying to undo the past. There\u2019s no sense in dwelling on past sins \u2063after we\u2019ve\u200c seen the \u200berror of our ways. The reason I \u2063mention all of this is to\u200c stop this crime from spreading. To prevent it from happening again in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t primarily\u2064 blame the homosexual\u200d men for the growing evil of surrogacy and IVF. I don\u2019t \u2064blame the women either. We all know the statistics about \u2063children who grow up in fatherless households: the significantly higher\u2063 risk of behavioral problems, of going to  <\/p>\n<h2> What are the consequences\u200d and potential injustices faced by children intentionally created \u2064through surrogacy and IVF, particularly\u2062 in terms of\u200c their relationship with their mothers and \u2063their overall well-being<\/h2>\n<p><span>  \u2064 Situation and point fingers at same-sex couples for engaging in\u200b surrogacy and \u2063IVF. However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jeff-davidson-dont-fly-migrants-to-sanctuary-cities-ship-them-in\/\" title=\"Jeff Davidson: Don\u2019t Fly Migrants to Sanctuary Cities, Ship Them In\">real blame lies<\/a> with our society&#8217;s shift in values\u2064 and the \u2062advancement of technology \u200dwithout proper \u200dethical examination.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u2064 past, marriage was understood\u200b to \u200bbe\u2063 the union between a man and a woman.\u200b The \u2064recognition of \u2062sexual difference was \u200cseen\u200b as a\u2062 fundamental aspect\u200b of marriage. However, in recent years,\u200d our political order has denied the necessity of \u200bsexual difference to marriage.\u200c This denial of the difference between men and women has \u200dpaved the way for same-sex\u2062 couples to enter into legal marriages\u200b and engage in the \u200dprocess of surrogacy and IVF.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, technological advancements have allowed\u200d us to create and gestate human life outside the conjugal act. This means that for the first time\u200c in history,\u200b babies\u200d can be made \u2063without sexual intercourse. While this\u200b may seem like a great triumph of science, \u2063the truth is that\u200d technology has outpaced \u200cour ethical considerations.<\/p>\n<p>In the words of Jeff Goldblum&#8217;s character\u200d in &#8220;Jurassic Park,&#8221; our scientists were \u200bso preoccupied with whether \u2064or not they\u2063 could \u200bcreate \u200cbabies through surrogacy and IVF, that\u2064 they didn&#8217;t \u200bstop to\u2063 consider\u2062 if they should. This lack of humility before nature is staggering. \u200dWe are \u200dengaging \u200cin a violent and penetrative act that scars the very essence of what \u200cit means\u2062 to \u200ccreate and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/william-shatner-91-eviscerates-former-star-trek-co-stars-for-attacking-him-they-are-full-of-envy-and-hate\/\" title=\"William Shatner, 91, Eviscerates Former \u201cStar Trek\u201d Co-Stars for Attacking Him \u2013 \u201cThey Are Full of Envy and Hate\u201d\">nurture life<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The most egregious aspect of\u200c this issue is the\u200d fact that same-sex couples are intentionally creating\u200c babies with the express intent of denying \u200bthem their\u200c mothers. The bond\u200b between a \u2062mother \u200cand her child is the most intimate bond in\u200c existence. The mother is the environment in which a\u2063 baby forms, and the mother&#8217;s voice is the first voice a baby ever hears. To\u200b intentionally\u200d deny a child this fundamental relationship is a grave injustice.<\/p>\n<p>Motherlessness has always been seen as a rare and unfortunate event in a fallen world. It was something to be healed and dealt with as best as possible. However, today, motherlessness is an intentional political\u200b program. The \u200dlaw now \u2062holds\u200d the presumed right of men to children above the actual right of \u2064children\u2063 to\u200c their mothers. This is a complete \u200dreversal of\u2062 what has been understood throughout history.<\/p>\n<p>We can now hear the stories of children who have grown up without \u200ctheir mothers as a result of surrogacy and\u200b IVF. Their accounts\u2062 paint a picture of immense hardship and suffering. These children face more health problems, \u200care\u200d prone to premature births and being\u200b underweight. Additionally, they \u2063experience psychological and spiritual hardships such \u200das envy\u200b of \u200ctheir friends with mothers, hatred of Mother&#8217;s Day, and the pressure to suppress their pain for the sake of \u200bthe men who raised them.<\/p>\n<p>The social\u2062 adjustment and bonding difficulties, identity issues, and constant wondering about half-siblings add\u2064 to their emotional burden. They are legally \u200dbarred\u2063 from \u200dknowing their own siblings, and the increased risk of\u200c depression\u2062 and reliance on\u200b antidepressant drugs further compounds their suffering. Yet,\u200c society \u2064seems\u2063 more concerned with stamping out imaginary\u200c phobias \u2063than protecting the natural \u2064rights of these \u2063children.<\/p>\n<p>This phenomenon is\u2062 ghastly\u200c and horrific.\u200d It\u200b represents one of the most rotten\u2064 things a society can do to a child. However, it is important to note that\u200b blame cannot solely be placed on same-sex couples. Our \u200bsociety&#8217;s shift\u200c in\u200b values and the failure to properly examine \u200dthe ethical implications of these advancements are at \u2064the heart of the issue.<\/p>\n<p>As \u2063we move forward, it is crucial that\u2063 we engage in bioethical inquiries that\u2062 keep pace \u2064with technological\u200c advancements. We must prioritize the protection of children and their natural \u2063rights, as well as \u2062the recognition of the fundamental differences between men and women. \u2063Only \u200bthen can we hope to \u200cavoid\u2064 the immense \u2063suffering\u2063 and \u200cinjustice\u200b caused \u200bby the commodification of children\u200b through surrogacy and IVF.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In his speech at Clemson University on December 6, 2023, Michael Knowles emphasized that children should not be treated as commodities.
