They were ‌ambushed by Hamas militants who threw grenades and⁢ opened fire on them. Others who tried to come to their ⁣aid‍ also faced the same fate.

Remembering the Fallen

The IDF ‌has released the ‌names of the soldiers killed in the⁣ battle in Shejaiya. The majority of⁣ the victims were ⁣civilians, including women and children, many of⁣ whom showed signs of torture or‍ severe burns. Israel initially responded with an intense aerial bombardment‌ campaign‍ before launching a ground invasion on Oct. 27.

Israeli officials have ⁣reported that around 7,000 Hamas fighters, roughly a quarter of the group’s suspected fighting force, have been killed during the war. Additionally, 500 militants have been detained in Gaza in the past month. Israel is actively searching for Hamas’s senior leadership, including⁢ their⁣ leader Yahya Sinwar, who is believed to be hiding in the ‌south.

The death toll in Gaza has surpassed ‍17,000,⁣ according to the Hamas-controlled Gaza health ministry. This has led to significant criticism of Israel, including from the United Nations. The United⁢ Nations General Assembly⁢ recently voted in favor of an ⁣immediate humanitarian ceasefire in⁢ Gaza, following the United States’ previous blocking ⁤of ceasefire calls in the U.N.’s Security Council.

For more ⁣information, click here.

How did these soldiers demonstrate their bravery and commitment to protecting their comrades?

 Course.
