They are especially interested\u200c in subpoenaed\u2063 bank records that include \u2064almost a quarter-million dollars in checks Sara Biden wrote to her brother-in-law Joe, conspicuously marking them as\u200b <strong>\u201cloan repayment.\u201d<\/strong> Republicans want to ask her about the origin of those loans and whether\u200c checks <strong>\u201cwere funded by Biden influence-peddling schemes with China.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Committees require you to\u200c provide details\u200b of these payments and\u200b other related matters,\u201d \u2064the chairmen of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees said in a joint <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-11-8-Letter-Sara-Biden.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a> they sent to her last month\u2063 demanding she make \u2063herself available for a transcribed interview. In addition, they sent a\u200b subpoena \u200cto her husband \u2063for \u2063testimony and information.<\/p>\n<p>Although Hunter and Jim Biden\u2019s questionable business \u2062dealings \u2014 and their possible blessing from the president \u2014 are drawing increasing scrutiny, Sara Biden has drawn little\u200c attention until \u200cnow. But court records and other documents show she has been a central player in the \u200cBiden\u200d family business for decades.
