This summit resulted in\u2062 commitments from the presidents of all Virginia state universities, \u200bas well as \u200bsome private universities, to develop action\u200d plans that promote free speech and intellectual diversity.<\/p>\n<p>Last week,\u200d the presidents of Penn, Harvard, and MIT testified before Congress, revealing their stance on these goals. They argued that their understanding of free speech and intellectual \u200bdiversity prevented them from protecting Jewish students from recent incidents of\u200b discrimination on their campuses.\u2062 These university presidents claimed that the Constitution limited their ability to address antisemitic advocacy. Outraged by the \u2064lack of action from\u2063 Penn President Liz Magill, several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/press-must-be-held-accountable-for-fake-gaza-story-that-instigated-violence-worldwide\/\" title=\"Press must be accountable for false Gaza story that caused global violence.\">major donors withdrew<\/a> \u2062their support, leading to Magill&#8217;s resignation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Core Beliefs of Leftist \u200cUniversities<\/h2>\n<p>The progressive university party line, which dominates most American universities, is based on a set of core beliefs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A system of oppression \u2062called systemic racism still exists in \u2062the United States, and \u200chiring and admissions should prioritize\u200b individuals from oppressed groups.<\/li>\n<li>The United States,\u2062 like other developed countries, has engaged in \u200dimperialist, colonial oppression against people of color, using the\u200b intellectual framework of the enlightenment \u200bto devalue alternative perspectives.<\/li>\n<li>Immediate government intervention is\u200b necessary to combat climate change caused\u2063 by carbon emissions.<\/li>\n<li>Widespread legal gun ownership is the main cause of violent crime, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-had-a-record-number-of-mass-shootings-in-2020\/\" title=\"US Had A Record Number Of Mass Shootings In 2020\">strict gun control measures<\/a> can significantly reduce it.<\/li>\n<li>Restricting \u2062a woman&#8217;s right to abortion infringes on her \u200dindividual rights, and recreational drug\u200c use should not be limited by\u2064 the government.<\/li>\n<li>The prevention of disease justifies any infringement of individual liberty ordered by the state or university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Danger of Dissent<\/h2>\n<p>One \u200bof the most significant beliefs within this ideology is that dissent from \u200dany of these core beliefs is considered a form of violent \u2064oppression\u200c that cannot\u200d be tolerated within the university. \u2062According to \u2062this view,\u2063 dissenting opinions cause harm to the university community.<\/p>\n<p>This explains why \u200buniversities are intolerant of dissent and why voices promoting antisemitic hate and violence are tolerated. The core beliefs posit that certain \u200bgroups are actively harming oppressed groups, and these oppressors \u200cmust \u2062be stopped.
