Elected officials have \u2063chosen to extend\u2063 COVID policies indefinitely, wherever possible. Some of these\u2064 efforts are\u200c evident, but others have received little \u200bmedia coverage despite their potential impact on children.<\/p>\n<p>One significant development is the ongoing effort to transform schools into mini-hospitals, benefiting startups funded by Silicon \u2064Valley. The focus of schools has shifted from\u2064 providing education to turning students into patients,\u200d all to enrich investors in California. However, since March 2021, Telehealth technology has exploded in popularity, with over one-third of all outpatient visits for these symptoms being conducted through Telehealth. This shift\u2062 has particularly \u200daffected students\u2064 in grades K through 12.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Associated Press, at least 16 of\u2063 the 20 largest U.S. public school districts now offer online therapy sessions, with contracts worth \u200bover $70 million. One prominent Telehealth provider in \u2064schools is &#8220;Hazel Health,&#8221; active in more than 150 school districts across 15 states. They recently \u2064signed a $24 million contract with Los Angeles County \u200bto provide &#8220;tele-therapy&#8221; to over a\u2063 million students.<\/p>\n<p>However, the larger issue is that schools\u200c should not be responsible for providing medical care.
