Newsom signed the \u2063bill in 2021 without \u2063comment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Childcare item,&#8221; according to the bill, \u2064&#8221;means \u200cany \u2064product\u200d designed or intended by the manufacturer to facilitate sleep, relaxation, or \u200cthe feeding of children, or to help children\u2063 with sucking or teething.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Encouraging Gender Neutrality and Breaking \u2063Stereotypes<\/h3>\n<p>Assemblyman Evan Low (D-Campbell), who introduced the \u200blegislation, said, &#8220;We need to stop stigmatizing what\u2019s acceptable for \u2064certain\u200c genders and\u200d just let\u200c kids be kids.&#8221; \u2062The bill, he\u2062 said, was designed to &#8220;encourage more\u200b businesses across\u200d California and the U.S. to \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/toys-r-they-ca-law-requires-stores-to-have-gender-neutral-area-for-kids-products\/\" title=\"Toys R They? Why should\u2064 you feel the\u2063 stigma of saying, \u2018Oh, this \u200bshould be shamed,\u2019 and going to a different location?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Former California State Sen.
