Visa, \u2064Mastercard, and American Express reportedly prohibited the UAWC \u200bfrom\u2064 using their services in 2018, a year before two of its\u200c staffers were charged for their\u200d involvement in a PFLP terrorist cell and \u200ba \u2062roadside \u2064bombing that\u200b resulted in\u200c the death of an Israeli teenager.<\/p>\n<p>Bashir al Khairi, \u200da former\u2062 leader\u2064 of the PFLP, used to be the president of the UAWC&#8217;s \u200cboard of trustees.\u200d The \u200bPFLP was one of the Palestinian terrorist factions involved in the October 7 attack.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;As we,\u200c the Union of\u200d Agricultural Work Committees, spearhead this international campaign, we are joined\u2064 by a coalition of partners\u200c and allies\u2063 worldwide,&#8221; states the\u200c Gaza fundraiser&#8217;s website. &#8220;Their engagement in \u200cthis campaign amplifies our call,\u2064 aiming to turn the tide of suffering into a wave of support. The\u200c use of starvation by the Israeli \u200coccupation as\u2062 a weapon in its\u2062 deplorable warfare against 2.3 million Palestinians is an \u200baffront to humanity, demanding \u2062global action \u2063to expose and hold \u2062accountable those responsible.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On Monday, members of Congress \u2064called\u2064 on Stripe to sever ties with the\u200b fundraiser.
