Instead, this document was written by a vice president at one of the\u2064 most powerful Left-wing activist groups in the country: Planned Parenthood. This document is called the \u200d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B0KCqtNShmxgYTA1REcxai1OME0\/view?resourcekey=0-qliJBd6Jgnczp1-tsH2z_A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cJaffe memo,\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  after the man who drafted it: Frederick Jaffe, who is also the founder\u200c of the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute. He wrote the document in response to a letter from Bernard Berelson,\u200c who was \u200dthe\u200d head of the Population Council. Berelson \u200bwanted a summary of \u200dexpert opinions \u200con how to make sure \u2062we\u2063 have fewer people in this country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jaffe\u2019s memo makes clear that the feminist movement is a core component of a much broader depopulation \u2062agenda. In the 1960\u2019s, \u200dthe median \u200cage of first marriage for men \u200dwas 23.\u200c For women,\u200c it\u200d was\u2063 20.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/371933\/median-age-of-us-americans-at-their-first-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the median age for men<\/a> at their first wedding is over 30. For women, it\u2019s 29. This has been a slow and steady\u200c climb, and it\u2019s still increasing. For women, fertility starts to decline rapidly at the age of \u206430. And \u200dthat is right at \u200bthe moment that many\u200b women are\u2062 now getting married. Of course \u200bthere have always been women who marry later in life,\u200c and there\u2019s nothing \u2062wrong with that on an individual level. But as a general, societal strategy, it\u2019s a recipe \u2064for decline, and \u200beventually disaster. The Jaffe memo was written in 1969.\u2063 Just a couple\u2064 of years later, Pew reports, people suddenly wanted much smaller families:\u00a0 \u201cIn\u2064 1971, there was a shift in attitudes, as Americans\u2019 \u2063ideal family switched from four kids to two kids).\u201d So just as contraception is being legalized, suddenly everyone wants fewer kids.
