In a bold statement, Fetterman referred to Senator \u2063Bob Menendez as \u2063a &#8220;senator for Egypt, not New Jersey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We have a colleague in the Senate that actually did much more sinister and serious kinds of things: Senator Menendez. He needs to go,&#8221; Fetterman <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/theblaze\/status\/1730660477087138127?s=20\">said<\/a> on the show. &#8220;And if you are going to expel Santos, how can you allow somebody \u2062like Menendez \u200bto remain in \u200bthe Senate? And, you know, Santos&#8217;s, kind of, lies were\u2063 almost, you know, funny, and, like, you know, \u200bhe, you know, \u200dlanded on the \u200cmoon and that kind of stuff. Whereas, I think,\u200d you know, Menendez,\u200b I think, is really a senator for Egypt, not New Jersey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Fetterman didn&#8217;t stop there.\u2063 He firmly stated that he believed Menendez should face \u200cexpulsion, even though he has not been convicted of a crime, only charged.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;He has \u200cthe right for his\u200b day in court, but he\u2063 doesn&#8217;t have the right to\u2063 have\u2062 those kinds of votes \u2063and things,&#8221; \u200cFetterman explained. &#8220;That&#8217;s \u200dnot a right, and I think we need to make that kind of decision to send him out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In September, prosecutors <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/democrat-senator-bob-menendez-charged-with-corruption\/\">charged<\/a> \u200c Menendez with bribery offenses.\u200d They later <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/dem-senator-menendez-pleads-not-guilty-to-foreign-agent-charge\/\">added<\/a> a new charge, accusing him of acting as a foreign \u200cagent for Egypt.\u2064 Menendez \u200chas pleaded not guilty to all charges.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the House\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/george-santos-expelled-from-house-over-criminal-charges\/\">expelled<\/a> Representative Santos on Friday due \u200bto charges of\u2064 campaign money laundering and donor fraud, to which he has pleaded not guilty. He has also\u200d admitted to falsifying parts of his biography.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that \u200bwhen Menendez was indicted in September, at least 31 Democratic senators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/senators-calling-for-bob-menendez-resign-bribery-indictment-2023-9\">called<\/a> for his resignation, including Senator Fetterman.
