Their \u2064latest assault on Republican voters is no exception.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/the-newsroom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stateline<\/a> joined its fellow leftist &#8220;news&#8221; organizations in spreading a Democrat-manufactured conspiracy theory. They claim that U.S. election workers are facing constant harassment\u200b from\u200c constituents.\u2062 The insinuation is that conservative voters, who dared to question the conduct of the 2020 election, are responsible for these threats.<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of \u200bStateline&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/stateline.org\/2023\/11\/29\/in-face-of-threats-election-workers-say-you-are-not-disrupting-the-democratic-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attack\u2062 piece<\/a> is the recent wave of letters containing dangerous substances sent to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-zuckerberg-broke-law-with-dropboxes\/\" title=\"Trump: Zuckerberg 'Broke Law' with Dropboxes\">local election offices<\/a> in states like Washington, Nevada, and Oregon. Instead of revealing the evidence <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/23\/media-launder-stories-like-the-fentanyl-letters-to-blame-republicans-for-everything\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suggesting<\/a> that these letters may have been sent by\u2062 far-left radicals tied to Antifa, Stateline quickly shifted the focus to promote the left&#8217;s narrative of &#8220;election workers under attack&#8221;\u2062 and blamed former President Donald Trump and his supporters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since the 2020 presidential election, state and local election officials nationwide have been bombarded with threats, as lies perpetuated by former President Donald Trump and his allies around &#8216;rigged&#8217; elections have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-no-the-military-did-not-sentence-tom-vilsack-to-death\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: No, The Military Did Not Sentence Tom Vilsack To Death\">fueled conspiracy theories<\/a> and inspired violent\u2064 reactions to \u200cthe \u200cbureaucrats and temporary workers who\u2063 run the United States&#8217; democratic\u2063 process,&#8221; the outlet exaggerated.<\/p>\n<p>As I previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/08\/media-gin-up-lies-about-election-worker-safety-to-escape-ballot-box-accountability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained<\/a> in these pages, Democrat claims\u2062 of an increase in threats \u2064against election\u200b workers since the 2020 election are primarily based on biased surveys \u2063conducted \u2064by leftist organizations and unsubstantiated statements from Democrat \u200celection officials. For instance, in November 2022, The Washington Post published an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/technology\/2022\/11\/08\/election-workers-online-threats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">article<\/a> that included \u200dclaims from Colorado Democrat Secretary of State Jena Griswold&#8217;s office, stating that they had &#8220;identified hundreds more threats against her since 2020.&#8221; Notably,\u2063 the Post \u2063made\u200b no effort to fact-check these assertions.<\/p>\n<p>However, like\u200d the Post, Stateline was\u2064 compelled to include data from President Biden&#8217;s own Department of\u2062 Justice, which disproves the Democrats&#8217;\u200d exaggerated narrative about threats to election workers.<\/p>\n<p>In their article, Stateline revealed that &#8220;As of late August, the U.S. Justice Department&#8217;s Election Threats Task Force had charged 14 people with making threats to election workers \u2062and political \u200ccandidates since the\u2063 task force was created in 2021, resulting in nine convictions with significant criminal sentences.&#8221; Testimony from a DOJ official in August \u200b2022 and a subsequent agency\u2063 press release further <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/24\/corrupt-media-fight-election-accountability-with-democrat-manufactured-lies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exposed<\/a> that out \u2062of approximately 1,000 communications deemed &#8220;threatening and harassing&#8221; by the Election Threats Task Force, only about 11 percent warranted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jake-tapper-notes-hunter-biden-investigation-lara-trump-fires-glad-you-finally-figured-that-out\/\" title=\"Jake Tapper Notes Hunter Biden Investigation; Lara Trump Fires: \u2018Glad You Finally Figured That Out\u2019\">federal criminal investigation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, in a country with a population\u200b of over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/popclock\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">335 million people<\/a>, only around 100 individuals have been \u200binvestigated by the DOJ for allegedly threatening election workers, and only 14 of them have faced official charges. This hardly constitutes a widespread crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The corporate\u2062 press, which loves to dismiss \u2064legitimate Republican concerns about the integrity\u200c of U.S. elections as &#8220;conspiracy theories,&#8221; is more than willing \u2064to promote their own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/msnbc-conspiracy-theorist-set-to-testify-on-domestic-terrorism\/\" title=\"MSNBC Conspiracy Theorist Set To Testify On Domestic Terrorism\">baseless conspiracy theories<\/a> to smear their \u2062political opponents. In reality, Democrats have\u200d no genuine \u200dconcern for the &#8220;security&#8221; of \u2064American elections. Their sole focus is acquiring and retaining power.<\/p>\n<p>The media&#8217;s widespread campaign to \u2063portray Republicans as threats to &#8220;democracy&#8221; serves\u200c not\u200c only\u200c to scare away independent and moderate voters from the GOP but also to discourage conservatives from engaging\u200d in legitimate forms of\u2064 election oversight, such as poll watching.<\/p>\n<p>From elections to lawfare, Democrats have no interest in playing by the same rules as everyone else. This information directly contradicts\u200b Stateline&#8217;s narrative of Republican voters attacking election officials.<\/p>\n<p>It is concerning that\u2064 \u200bmedia outlets \u200blike Stateline\u2063 continue to perpetuate false narratives that demonize Republican voters and falsely paint them as threats to democracy. This kind of \u2063biased reporting not only undermines the trust in our democratic process \u2062but\u2064 also further divides an already politically polarized nation\u200b.<\/p>\n<p>It is vital for\u200c Americans to critically examine the narratives presented by the media and question their motives and sources. The constant demonization of one\u200b political \u2062party or its \u200bsupporters creates a toxic environment that hinders meaningful dialogue and constructive\u200d debate.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, media outlets should strive for impartiality and fairness in \u200ctheir reporting. They have a responsibility to\u2062 provide accurate information and\u2064 uphold journalistic integrity. By spreading false narratives and\u200b promoting unverified claims, they not only discredit themselves but also contribute to the erosion of public trust \u200bin the media.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it is essential for citizens to \u2064engage in respectful and informed political discourse. The demonization\u2064 of any group only serves to\u2064 further \u200cpolarize society and perpetuate division.
