A Queens High School Teacher Forced to Hide from ‘Radicalized’ Students<\/h2>\n
Last week, a Queens high school in New York City \u200bbecame the scene of \u2062a violent and anti-Semitic outburst. The target of this rage \u2062was a longtime teacher who had publicly shown support<\/a> for Israel on Facebook.<\/p>\n
Hillcrest High School in the Jamaica neighborhood\u2062 was thrown\u2064 into chaos\u2063 on Monday \u200bmorning when a mob of teens \u200drampaged through the halls, as reported \u200bby the New York Post<\/a>. The Post described the teens involved \u2063as “radicalized.”<\/p>\n
According to the Post, hundreds of teens waved\u2064 Palestinian flags as \u200cthey \u200dran wild through the school. The targeted teacher was forced to flee her classroom, seeking refuge in a locked \u200coffice while students attempted to break through.<\/p>\n
Even in \u2064the safety of \u2062the locked office, the students persisted in their pursuit of the teacher.<\/p>\n
“The teacher \u200cwas seen holding a sign supporting \u2064Israel,” revealed a high school \u200csenior to the Post.<\/p>\n

According to the\u2062 Post, a group of students created a chat to \u200bexpose the teacher and discuss starting a riot. The protesting students\u2062 chanted “Free Palestine!” and demanded the \u2063teacher’s termination.<\/p>\n
City Council member James Gennaro stated that the New York Police Department and the counterterrorism bureau were called\u200d in to \u2064investigate the incident. \u200bGennaro expressed his concern over the\u2063 escalation of events, saying, “It\u2063 went from a teacher just changing a photograph on her\u2062 social profile to this contagion of hate being released in the halls\u200c of Hillcrest High School.”<\/p>\n
Mayor Eric Adams\u2063 condemned the \u200cincident,\u2062 emphasizing that such acts of antisemitism would\u2064 not \u2063be tolerated in \u2062the city.<\/p>\n
