Later on Monday, First Lady Jill Biden will unveil\u200b this\u2064 year\u2019s Yuletide decor, which includes almost 15,000 feet of ribbon, nearly 100 trees, more than 350 candles, more than 142,000 twinkle lights, and close to 34,000 ornaments. It\u2019s a holly, jolly extravaganza.<\/p>\n<p>But amid all the excessive trimmings, \u200cthe \u200cnumber of grandchildren\u2019s stockings \u2062is\u2062 the \u2062only quantity that really matters. Instead of recognizing their grandkids on the mantle, the Bidens are reportedly paying homage \u2062to their <em>pets<\/em>, one \u2062of which was exiled from the White House after biting Secret Service agents and a number of\u2062 staffers. A spokesman explained that &#8220;[t]he family\u200b will\u200d be \u200dspending\u2062 Christmas at Camp David&#8221; so &#8220;their \u200dfamily stockings will be there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not really why the grandchildren\u2019s stockings\u2064 aren\u2019t featured at the \u2064executive mansion.<\/p>\n<p>While 2023 marks the third year of the\u200c Bidens\u2019 holiday oversight at the \u2064White House, this is only\u200c the first Christmas since the family finally publicly acknowledged their seventh\u2062 grandchild: Hunter Biden\u2019s love child, Navy Joan Roberts.\u2062 For \u200bthe past two years, Jill Biden has hung Christmas stockings for only \u2064six grandchildren, not seven, refusing to recognize and honor the \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blm-protesters-harass-young-cheerleaders-over-their-white-privilege-organizer-stands-by-actions\/\" title=\"BLM Protesters Harass Young Cheerleaders Over Their \u2018White Privilege,\u2019 Organizer Stands By Actions\">innocent child<\/a> born out of wedlock in 2018 to former stripper Lunden\u200d Roberts and the Bidens\u2019\u2063 wayward son.<\/p>\n<p>This was all \u2063part of the Bidens\u2019 \u2062long-established &#8220;six grandchildren&#8221; narrative. As \u200cthe president\u2064 loved to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1651632958527111168\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tell<\/a>, &#8220;I have six grandchildren, and I\u2019m crazy about them. I speak to\u200d them every single day.&#8221;\u2062 In 2020, Jill Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/jill-biden-book-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dedicated<\/a> her children\u2019s book &#8220;To my grandchildren,&#8221; with a list of six names. And The New York Times \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/01\/us\/politics\/hunter-biden-daughter-arkansas.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> over\u2064 the summer that in White\u2063 House strategy meetings, the president\u2019s aides were instructed that Joe \u2064and Jill Biden have six grandchildren, not seven.<\/p>\n<p>As \u200bthe New \u2064York Post\u2019s Jesse \u200bO\u2019Neill <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/11\/28\/hunter-bidens-love-child-snubbed-in-white-house-stocking-display\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> last Christmas, &#8220;The only thing worse than getting coal in your stocking is not even having one hung for you.&#8221;\u200d Indeed, and now the president \u2063and first lady \u200bare\u2064 proving the depths \u200bof their\u2062 disdain for Navy Roberts: They\u2019d rather \u2064not acknowledge their\u2062 other six \u200dbeloved grandchildren \u200dthan honor their seventh with\u2063 a stocking.<\/p>\n<p>The snub is even further aggravated by \u2063the Biden patriarch\u2019s constant appeals to the importance of \u2062family in every other context. <em>Entanglements in bribery scandals? No, \u200bjust\u2064 a father\u2019s love for his son. Federal gun crimes? Nah, just\u2063 a close-knit family grieving.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When it comes to little Navy Joan Roberts, however, Biden likes \u200dto play the family card again \u2014 in\u200b this case to tell inquiring minds to buzz off. &#8220;This is not a political issue, it\u2019s \u200da family matter,&#8221; President Biden\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/president-biden-first-statement-granddaughter-navy-roberts-exclusive-7567196\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> People magazine\u200c at the end\u2062 of July when he first acknowledged the child. &#8220;Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a\u2062 tough claim to square \u2062with reality, considering Joe Biden has aided and\u2064 abetted the son he\u2019s \u200d&#8221;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FgxZcU_DGww\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">very proud<\/a>&#8221; \u200cof in ignoring his \u2062daughter. \u2063Hunter claimed \u200cin his memoir that he\u2019s &#8220;taken responsibility&#8221; for the mess he created during his affair, but that\u2019s not true. Instead of \u2064a meaningful relationship with her father \u2014 or\u2063 even more than a delayed and compulsory acknowledgment of her\u2064 existence after a positive paternity test \u2014 \u2063Navy has \u200dhad to settle for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-cashes-in-with-book-deal-as-career-prospects-dwindle-child-support-payments-mount\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Cashes In with Book Deal as Career Prospects Dwindle, Child Support Payments Mount\">child support payments<\/a> he negotiated\u200b down and a few of Hunter\u2019s \u2063lousy paintings.\u200b She \u200dcan\u2019t even \u200dhave\u2062 the Biden family name.<\/p>\n<p>As for the grandparents, there\u2019s still no evidence they\u2019ve met their granddaughter.<\/p>\n<p>So\u2064 now\u2064 what of this \u2064&#8221;family matter&#8221;? It\u2019s about \u2064time Navy Joan Roberts gets a place of honor at the White House. But\u2062 considering Joe and Jill Biden\u2063 would apparently\u2064 rather not \u200drecognize any of \u200btheir\u2064 grandkids than hang a little stocking for \u200bher, it\u2019s painfully clear she\u2019ll never have her \u200dplace on their mantle \u2014 and certainly not <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/23\/biden-grandchild-no-7-magnifies-the-male-privilege-of-joe-and-his-boy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a \u200bseat<\/a> at their table.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Kylee\u200b Griswold is the editorial director of The Federalist. But by excluding Navy from the White House Christmas\u2063 decorations, it becomes clear that family matters only when it suits \u200cthe \u200cBidens&#8217; narrative.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note that Navy is not at fault for the circumstances of her birth.\u2064 She is an innocent child who\u2062 deserves to be recognized and loved by her family, regardless of the circumstances. By excluding \u200dher from the stocking\u2062 display, the Bidens are sending a hurtful and exclusionary message to Navy and to the \u2063world.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, this snub raises questions about the integrity \u200dand authenticity of the Bidens&#8217; public image.\u2064 If they are willing to exclude one of\u200b their own grandchildren from a simple Christmas decoration, how can we trust them to \u200bprioritize the needs of the American people?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not too late for the Bidens to rectify this situation. They have the power to acknowledge Navy and include her in their family traditions, starting with hanging her \u2063stocking\u200c in the White House. It&#8217;s a small gesture, \u2062but it would send a powerful message of love,\u200d acceptance, and inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>As Americans, we\u200c expect our leaders to lead by example and to demonstrate compassion and fairness. By\u200d including all of their grandchildren in their Christmas decorations, the \u200bBidens can show the country and the world that they value \u200bfamily, no matter the circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>So, as we admire the extravagance of the Bidens&#8217; White House Christmas decorations this year, \u2062let \u200dus not forget the\u2063 absence \u200bof the grandchildren&#8217;s stockings.
