I\u2019m \u2062disappointed in myself,&#8221; he reportedly said. &#8220;I will do better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dozens of Biden administration staffers have \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mcauliffe-appointed-prominent-anti-vaxxers-to-state-boards\/\" title=\"McAuliffe Appointed Prominent Anti-Vaxxers To State Boards\">reportedly expressed concern<\/a> \u200din private over Biden&#8217;s stance on\u2063 Israel&#8217;s war with\u2064 Hamas \u200dand\u200b the humanitarian crisis in \u200dGaza, with some aides\u2062 considering the matter\u200b the single biggest struggle of his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>A group of staffers, \u2062aides, and allies, many of them Muslims, has reportedly relayed significant worries about\u2062 the president&#8217;s approach to the \u200bwar and \u200dunwavering embrace of Israel to higher-level \u2063officials.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think the \u200cadministration has realized from quite early on that it was in a bind,\u201d said Ivo Daalder, chief executive of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Daalder was\u2063 also \u200ca \u2064NATO\u2063 representative\u200c during former President Barack Obama&#8217;s administration.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cAnd it was\u200b in a\u200d bind not only because\u200b of Biden\u2019s own predilection, which is real and strong\u2064 and important,\u201d but also because the administration&#8217;s actions in support of or against Israel carry political costs.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, 20 staffers were granted a meeting with White House chief of staff Jeff Zients,\u2063 senior adviser Anita Dunn, and deputy national security adviser Jon \u200dFiner. The group sought to find out \u200dhow the administration is \u2062addressing civilian deaths in Gaza,\u2064 its message going \u200dforward, and what the administration \u2062thinks the region should look like following the conflict, according to the Washington Post, which conducted interviews with 27\u2062 White House\u2063 officials, including\u2062 senior\u200c administration\u2063 officials, as well as outside advisers.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting wasn&#8217;t fruitful, though, with Zients,\u2064 Dunn, and Finer reportedly relying on established talking points.<\/p>\n<p>The opposing groups \u2063are largely characterized \u2063as younger and more diverse \u200dstaffers, who are less supportive of Israel, versus more seasoned veteran \u2063staffers.<\/p>\n<p>Many young Muslim \u2063staffers\u200c sought to vent frustrations \u2063in private group chats with each other, and several have even been \u2062urged by family and friends to \u200bleave the Biden administration, according to \u200bthe report. Many have chosen to stay.\u200d But \u2062they&#8217;ve said they no longer feel the ability to affect change in the White\u200b House. \u201cI don\u2019t have any optimism \u200bat this point that anything \u2063is changing in terms of the policy,\u201d one staffer said.<\/p>\n<p>Keeping in mind changing \u200cdemographics in\u200d the country and within the Democratic\u2062 base, particularly in swing states, Biden&#8217;s administration has faced something of a balancing act. The White House has been working to provide outreach \u2064simultaneously to \u2063the\u200c Jewish community and the Muslim community so as not \u200dto alienate voters in either\u2063 group.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, Dunn has been holding daily meetings with the\u2062 roughly 30 staffers charged with these\u2063 efforts.<\/p>\n<p>In recent days, though, \u200daides have argued successfully that messaging on\u2064 the war be\u200b more balanced and not blindly supportive of Israel&#8217;s strategy.\u200d Biden, in turn, has been more direct \u2064regarding\u200d Israel&#8217;s responsibility to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kyrie-irving-not-focused-on-basketball-turns-his-focus-to-israeli-palestinian-conflict\/\" title=\"Kyrie Irving Not Focused On Basketball, Turns His Focus to Israeli-Palestinian Conflict\">minimize civilian casualties<\/a> and \u200cmake sure aid is able to get to Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has long\u2064 been a devoted \u2062supporter of Israel\u2062 and came \u200bout \u200dwith \u2063a forceful response \u200bto the Oct.\u200b 7 Hamas terrorist attacks.
