Vance of Ohio took \u200baim at an article \u200dpublished by Forbes that advocated for removing &#8220;whiteness&#8221;\u200d from workplaces. The article, written by Janice Gassam Asare, founder of the diversity, equity, and inclusion \u2062consultancy \u200cBWG Business Solutions, claimed that\u200c &#8220;white-centering&#8221; in workplaces prioritizes white\u2064 dominant culture at the expense \u200bof non-white \u200dgroups and\u200d cultures.<\/p>\n<p>Vance didn&#8217;t hold back in \u2062his \u200ccriticism, calling\u2064 the article &#8220;s***,&#8221; &#8220;racist,&#8221; and &#8220;gross.&#8221; He \u200ceven directed his staff to investigate whether \u200cAsare&#8217;s consultancy receives public money\u2063 from Ohio.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I\u2019m \u200cjust \u2064done with this\u2063 shit. It\u2019s \u2062racist and\u200d it\u2019s gross. The tweet questioned how one could &#8220;de-center&#8221; from a culture that is \u200dso pervasive.<\/p>\n<p>This\u2062 attempt to\u2063 purge\u2062 characteristics\u2063 associated with\u2063 a\u2064 person&#8217;s\u2063 race, \u200csuch as white culture\u2062 and perspectives, is a clear\u2062 example of racism.
