Legal Challenge \u200cAgainst Trump&#8217;s Attorney\u200c Comes to an End<\/h2>\n<p>Stormy Daniels&#8217; attempt\u2063 to challenge former President Donald Trump&#8217;s \u200clegal team has\u2062 finally come to an \u2063end.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, New York&#8217;s Attorney Grievance Committee threw out claims of a conflict of interest with Trump attorney Joe \u200dTacopina in the porn actress&#8217;s protracted &#8220;hush-money&#8221; case because of his previous dealings with her.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following an investigation of the allegations in the above-referenced\u2063 complaint filed against you, the Committee has determined to take no further action,&#8221; Jorge Dopico, chief attorney for \u200cthe\u2064 Attorney Grievance Committee of the First Judicial Department, wrote in a terse,\u200b single-sentence letter to Tacopina, The Messenger reported.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now both the court and the\u200d disciplinary committee have ruled that there was no conflict or ethical \u200dviolation at all, as I have said from day one,&#8221; Tacopina told The Messenger.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It seems that\u2063 Stormy Daniels and her joke of a lawyer&#8217;s 15 minutes of fame have come to an appropriate end,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u2062Tacopina will still not be allowed to \u200ccross-examine Daniels should she testify during the upcoming trial against the former president.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the judge presiding over Trump&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-attorney-declares-stormy-daniels-15-minutes-of-fame-are-finally-over-after-her-complaint-is-thrown-out\/\" title=\"Trump lawyer declares end of Stormy Daniels' fame as complaint dismissed\">hush money case similarly determined<\/a> that Tacopina had no conflict of interest after an independent expert confirmed that her claims\u2064 &#8220;lack merit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Allegations regarding Tacopina&#8217;s relationship \u200dwith Daniels were raised during Trump&#8217;s arraignment in April, when he \u200bwas charged with falsifying business\u2063 records relating to Daniels in a case brought by New York \u200dAttorney General Letitia James.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Stormy Daniels&#8217;s conflict complaint against former President Trump&#8217;s hush money lawyer tossed.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels filed the complaint earlier this year after\u200b claiming attorney Joe Tacopina\u2062 had a conflict because of his prior\u200b dealings with her.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/k5N9jp8XYr\">https:\/\/t.co\/k5N9jp8XYr<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0gDwmcxy8R\">pic.twitter.com\/0gDwmcxy8R<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Hill (@thehill) \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thehill\/status\/1727362831761236415?\">November\u200d 22, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Daniels&#8217; attorney Clark Brewster had argued that his client\u2062 had previously reached\u2062 out to Tacopina&#8217;s law firm for advice regarding the hush money arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>Tacopina, meanwhile, insisted that he never served as Daniels&#8217;\u200d lawyer and had\u2064 not even met her in person.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I trust that the grievance committee gave\u200b the complaint \u2063diligent and careful consideration,&#8221; Brewster said after the ruling in \u200can email reported\u200b by The Hill.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In reporting the facts\u2064 to the committee, I simply felt obliged under the rules of professional conduct\u2062 to \u2064disclose the facts implicating a rules violation and thereupon leave \u2062it \u2063to a well-constituted committee to render its judgment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, \u2064has \u2062repeatedly failed in her legal efforts against Trump and was even ordered to \u2063pay over $600,000 in legal \u2062fees on account of bringing &#8220;meritless litigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s New York criminal trial is currently scheduled to take place in March.
