Johnson\u2019s Republican predecessor, Kevin McCarthy, gave Carlson\u2019s producers access to the footage that had been kept under seal by the Democrat majority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat video,\u201d Carlson said, \u201ctells a very different story about what happened on Jan. 6.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/03\/13\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-tucker-carlsons-j6-tapes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Everything You Need To Know About Tucker Carlson\u2019s J6 Tapes<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tapes aired by Carlson showed Jacob Chansley, the\u2062 infamous \u201cQAnon Shaman,\u201d being escorted by police around the complex; revealed deceased Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick \u201chealthy and vigorous\u201d after allegedly being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher; and unearthed new contradictions in Ray Epps\u2019 testimony. The tapes also exposed outright fabrications \u200bby the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, which\u2062 was established by House Speaker Pelosi ostensibly to probe the Capitol\u200d turmoil while <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/12\/16\/nancy-pelosi-owns-january-6\/#:~:text=Despite%20the%20Associated%20Press%20and,a%20security%20failure%20Pelosi%20owns.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concealing<\/a> \u2062 her own failures.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson, who chaired the partisan Select\u200b Committee, bizarrely conceded that over \u2062the course of the panel\u2019s two-year \u200cinvestigation,\u200c lawmakers never reviewed the blockbuster footage that was later published by \u2062Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not actually \u2064aware of any member of the committee who had\u200d access,\u201d Thompson <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/03\/09\/top-democrat-on-j6-committee-we-actually-didnt-review-any-of-the-surveillance-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cWe had a team of employees who kind of went through the \u2062video.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former Wyoming \u200bRep. Liz Cheney, meanwhile, who was\u2062 vice chair of the \u200cSelect Committee before an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/18\/analysis-if-not-for-democrat-voters-cheneys-loss-would-have-been-even-more-devastating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">overwhelming<\/a> primary\u200c defeat by Rep. Harriet\u2063 Hageman, tried to downplay Friday\u2019s release by resharing some of the \u200bpanel\u2019s carefully selected footage of the mob.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere\u2019s some January 6th video for\u200d you,\u201d she wrote on X, previously known as \u2062Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee, whom Cheney\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/10\/the-j6-inquisition-is-an-obvious-soviet-style-show-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Soviet-style committee<\/a> sought to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/16\/blockbuster-j6-committee-expose-mike-lee-and-chip-roy-love-the-constitution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">frame<\/a> as a collaborator in an apparent insurrection, pushed back\u2063 on Cheney\u2019s\u2062 narrative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiz, we\u2019ve seen footage like that \u200ba million times. They falsely claim\u200c that it\u2063 was an attempted coup or insurrection perpetrated\u2062 by right-wing extremists, when in reality, the majority of the \u2062protesters \u200bwere peaceful and non-violent.\u200c This footage serves as further evidence that the left-wing narrative is \u200bfueled by political agenda rather than a commitment\u200d to truth.<\/p>\n<p>It is crucial that the American people have access to all the evidence and are able to form\u2062 their own conclusions about the events of\u200b January 6. Transparency\u2063 and truth should be the \u200cguiding principles in any investigation. This release of footage is an important step in achieving that transparency and ensuring that all sides of the story are heard.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, this \u2063footage raises serious questions\u2063 about the role of law enforcement during the events \u2063of January 6. Videos show Capitol police \u2063officers removing restraints from demonstrators and even engaging in friendly interactions with them. These actions undermine the claim that the protesters were a violent mob that posed an \u2064immediate threat to\u2062 the safety and security of the Capitol.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 release of\u2064 this footage also calls into question the\u2064 motives and actions\u200b of House Speaker\u2062 Nancy Pelosi \u2063and the Jan. 6 Committee. \u200bWhy\u200b did it take three years\u2064 for this footage to be made public? Why did Pelosi and\u200d other lawmakers use \u2062the \u2062events \u2062of January 6 for partisan\u2063 purposes, \u2063turning it into a political spectacle rather than a genuine attempt to uncover the truth?<\/p>\n<p>As more\u2064 footage\u200c is released to\u200d the public, it is crucial that \u200cwe remain\u200d vigilant in our pursuit\u200b of truth and resist the temptation\u2063 to manipulate the facts for political gain.\u2062 The events of January 6 should be thoroughly investigated and\u2062 all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/more-released-j6-tapes-show-police-escorting-and-fist-bumping-protesters-at-the-capitol\/\" title=\"More Released J6 Tapes Show Police Escorting And Fist-Bumping Protesters At The Capitol\">responsible individuals held accountable<\/a>, but that cannot be\u200b done if we allow \u2064a false \u2063narrative\u200d to\u200c dominate the conversation.<\/p>\n<p>The release of this footage is a step towards correcting the\u200c record and revealing the truth about what\u2062 happened on January 6.
