They argue that these organizations \u2062have also overlooked the \u200dterrorist attacks on October 7, \u2064which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,400 civilians and the kidnapping of around 240 individuals, with \u2064only five having been released so \u200cfar. However, it does not explicitly\u200c condemn Hamas&#8217;s attack on October 7.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Security Council&#8217;s resolution is detached from reality and holds no meaning,&#8221; stated Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, \u2062Gilad \u200dErdan. &#8220;Regardless \u200bof the Council&#8217;s decision, Israel will continue to act in accordance with\u200b international law,\u200c while Hamas terrorists will not even acknowledge the resolution, let alone abide by\u200c it. It is regrettable that the Council continues to ignore, fail to condemn, or even acknowledge the massacre carried out \u200cby Hamas on October 7, which triggered the war in Gaza. It is truly disgraceful! Hamas&#8217;s\u200b strategy is to deliberately worsen the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and increase Palestinian casualties, hoping to pressure the U.N. \u200cand the Security \u200dCouncil to intervene and halt Israel&#8217;s actions. But that will not happen. Israel will persist until Hamas is eradicated,\u2063 and the hostages are safely returned.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Israeli President Isaac Herzog echoed these sentiments \u200dduring an interview on\u2063 Fox News, describing the U.N. as a &#8220;hypocritical organization&#8221; that\u200c consistently employs\u200d anti-Semitic language and\u2063 routinely passes resolutions against Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Some members of Congress also share the view that international \u200dleaders are not\u200c sufficiently critical of Hamas and its endangerment of civilian lives. Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ) accused World Health Organization Director-General Tedros \u200bAdhanom Ghebreyesus \u2063of promoting a &#8220;disinformation campaign&#8221; that benefits Hamas during a \u200crecent\u2063 House Foreign Affairs subcommittee hearing on anti-Israel bias\u2063 at the U.N.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Since October 7, the WHO and its director have primarily targeted Israel in their statements, either explicitly or implicitly,&#8221; stated Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of U.N. Watch, during the same hearing. &#8220;Hamas \u200cis rarely mentioned. This resolution does not\u2063 do justice to the innocent victims and hostages who are trapped amidst this\u2063 violence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Israeli government has called \u200bon the global community to take a firm stance against\u200b Hamas&#8217;s \u2062use of hospitals for military activities. They argue that this \u200bnot \u200donly violates international law \u2064but also\u2064 puts innocent civilians at risk,\u2063 as hospitals are\u2063 meant to be \u200csafe havens for the sick\u2064 and injured. By turning hospitals\u2063 into military\u2064 installations, Hamas\u2062 is jeopardizing the lives of patients, medical staff, and anyone seeking medical \u200cassistance in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>In addition \u200bto the security concerns, Israeli leaders emphasize the moral implications of Hamas&#8217;s actions. They\u200c question how\u2062 an organization that claims\u200c to champion the\u2064 Palestinian cause can justify\u2062 using hospitals and other\u2062 civilian infrastructure for military purposes. By doing so, Hamas not only endangers innocent lives but also undermines the legitimacy \u200bof their own cause.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200c Israeli government points out that \u2064the exploitation of hospitals by Hamas is \u2064not \u200can \u2064isolated incident but\u200d part of a \u200dbroader pattern of using civilian infrastructure \u200cfor\u2062 military purposes. They cite numerous instances of Hamas using schools, \u200dmosques, and \u200dresidential \u200careas to launch rockets, \u2062store weapons, and\u2063 hide militants. These actions clearly meet \u2062the criteria for\u200d war\u2064 crimes\u2063 under international law.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli \u2062officials argue \u2063that the international community must condemn Hamas&#8217;s \u200bactions unequivocally and hold them accountable\u200d for their crimes. They urge global\u2063 organizations,\u2062 such as the\u200c United Nations, \u2062to investigate these \u2064violations thoroughly and take appropriate action. The failure to do so, they claim, only perpetuates the cycle of violence and\u200d further endangers innocent civilians in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>As \u2064the conflict\u2062 between \u200bIsrael \u2063and\u2062 Hamas continues, it is imperative that the international\u2064 community \u2062does not remain silent on \u2062the\u2063 issue of\u2063 Hamas&#8217;s exploitation of hospitals.
