Remember Hillary Doing That, Too&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>If former Barack\u200b Obama adviser\u200c David Axelrod is angry at\u200d reportedly being called a \u201cp***k\u201d \u200dby President Joe Biden,\u200c he certainly doesn\u2019t \u2062appear to be responding with any anger.<\/p>\n<p>He is, however, responding with a blunt assessment of the incumbent president\u2019s re-election \u2063bid \u2014 and that\u2064 might sting Biden more than any barrage of\u200c insults could actually do.<\/p>\n<p>To wit, Biden\u200c allegedly called Axelrod a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-calls-ex-obama-official-pk-doubting-2024-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">p***k<\/a>\u201d after the former \u200bObama\u200d campaign mastermind began \u200copenly \u200bdoubting his\u200d re-election bid, according to \u2063a scathing Politico Magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2023\/11\/13\/biden-2024-reelection-challenges-strategy-00126776\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Axelrod\u2019s critiques\u200d have been harsh, at least by Democrat operative \u2062standards, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ex-obama-official-warns-biden-time-decide-stakes-dramatic-ignore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rooted in fairness<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That made no \u2062matter to the \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hot-head-alert-joe-biden-lost-temper-chinas-president-crap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">notoriously temperamental<\/a> Biden, who reportedly ripped into Axelrod with that trademark colorful language.<\/p>\n<p>Well,\u200d Axelrod has responded through The New \u200cYork Times via an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/11\/18\/opinion\/biden-trump-axelrod-anger.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opinion piece<\/a> written by \u2063Maureen Dowd and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/axelrod-drops-the-hammer-after-bidens-alleged-pk-insult-i-remember-hillary-doing-that-too\/\" title=\"Axelrod Drops the Hammer After Biden's Alleged 'P***k' Insult: 'I Remember Hillary Doing That, Too'\">strategist-turned-pundit\u200d didn\u2019<\/a>t exactly pull\u200c his punches when skewering his boss\u2019 \u2064former veep.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t care about \u2063them\u200b thinking \u2064I\u2019m a p***k \u2014 that\u2019s fine,\u201d Axelrod \u200btold Dowd.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s when Axelrod \u200blaunched his first salvo: \u201cI hope they \u200bdon\u2019t\u2062 think the polls are wrong because they\u2019re \u2062not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While\u2064 the validity \u200bpolling comes down\u200c to the individual poll, Axelrod is correct that a number of polls are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-beats-biden-new-poll-defeat-even-worse-joes-possible-replacements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trending in \u200cthe wrong direction<\/a> for Biden and his team.<\/p>\n<p>Most polls show \u2062former President Donald Trump is in an effective tie\u2062 with Biden currently, while a number of polls actually Trump <em>ahead <\/em>of the incumbent.<\/p>\n<p>Axelrod \u2064pointing out this humbling factoid was just the first punch thrown, however.<\/p>\n<p>Next, Axelrod offered a blunt assessment of\u200b Biden\u2019s\u200d re-election chances, \u2062which \u2062reflected those very same polls he referenced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he\u200c has\u200d a 50-50 shot here, but no better\u2062 than that, maybe a little worse,\u201d Axelrod said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe \u2062a little worse\u201d than 50 percent chance at re-election is not where an incumbent \u2063president wants to be.<\/p>\n<p>Incumbent presidents also probably don\u2019t want \u200cto be compared to failed candidates \u2014 \u200cand that\u2019s where Axelrod took it\u200b next.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve \u200cgot\u2063 a real problem if\u2063 they\u2019re counting \u2063on Trump to win \u200bit \u2064for them,\u201d Axelrod\u2063 said, referencing Trump\u2019s deeply polarizing personality playing a role \u200din the 2020 election. \u201cI remember Hillary doing that, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hillary \u200ccomparison has to be\u2064 a particularly rough one for Biden, given her\u200c total and\u200b complete defeat in the 2016 general election.<\/p>\n<p>But Axelrod\u2019s most biting comment came in a seemingly throwaway comment \u200breferencing the fact that Joe Biden\u2064 turns 81 tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe thinks he can cheat nature here and it\u2019s really risky,\u201d \u200bAxelrod added.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, whether \u200cBiden and his team want to admit\u2062 it,\u200c there\u2019s just \u200dnot much they can\u200c do about the fact that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/senior-citizens-bidens-hometown-turning-know-exactly-happens-age-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">questions surrounding<\/a> the president\u2019s age will only \u2063get worse \u2014\u2062 not better \u200b\u2014 given the \u200dgeneral direction that time travels in.<\/p>\n<p>So the president can lash \u2063out with vulgar insults \u2064as
