In an interview Friday on the New York radio show \u201cCats and Cosby,\u201d Johnson said he\u2062 hadn\u2019t followed the\u200b San Francisco summit closely because he\u2019d been tied up \u2063in negotiating a deal to avoid a government shutdown in D.C., but\u2062 said Biden\u2019s problem was more fundamental than\u200c a passing meeting of\u2063 international leaders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn general, I would say \u2026 anyone who looks at this objectively has to agree that President Biden \u2063is \u2063projecting weakness on the world stage,\u201d he said. \u201cI am from the [President] Reagan school. He always said we maintain peace \u2063through strength. He was exactly right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause if you project weakness, you invite aggression. It\u2019s a dangerous\u200c time right\u200c now to be\u2062 inviting\u200b aggression on our country,\u201d he \u2063continued. \u201cThat\u2019s why you \u200csee China, Iran, Russia, all of our adversaries around the world doing what they\u2019re doing, being very provocative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And it isn\u2019t just the increasingly evident physical and mental weakness of the president, who turns 81 on\u2062 Monday. Americans \u2014\u200c especially liberal Americans \u2014 have gotten almost inured to Biden\u2019s incessant verbal gaffes and physical pratfalls.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the policies being implemented by an administration in thrall to the Democratic Party\u2019s far-left wing that are projecting weakness\u200b for the country as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>The examples abound, from the \u200bdisastrous \u2064withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 to effectively\u2064 inviting the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022\u2062 to telegraphing impotence\u2062 to the world in 2023 while \u2062a Chinese \u200dspy balloon spent a\u2062 leisurely week overflying the continental United States. (Not to \u2062mention the ongoing appeasement of Islamist supremacists in Tehran or surrendering to an invasion of illegal immigration from across the southern border.)<\/p>\n<p>The latest of these came last week, when Biden\u200d and Xi\u2062 discussed issues ranging from deadly fentanyl in the U.S. drug market with Chinese origins to the use of artificial intelligence in the military. Biden \u200creceived little concrete from Xi, as conservative\u2062 commentator Helen Raleigh noted on The Federalist on Friday, but racked up losses.<\/p>\n<p>He had leverage\u2062 over China because of the different economic conditions of the two countries, Raleigh wrote, and squandered that. An agreement aimed \u2064at limiting\u200d the use of AI in the military is \u200bworth little, Raleigh wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChina promised nothing. Xi has made enhancing the People\u2019s Liberation Army\u2019s capabilities through AI a national priority\u200c and has already\u200d committed plenty of resources for AI research \u200cand development. Xi will not change his course because of some experts\u2019 exchanges on AI with Americans,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIf such a\u200b discussion occurs, China will exploit it \u2062to identify which American AI expert to poach and what latest AI technology China should steal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And then there was the pact announced last week \u2014 on the eve of the San Francisco summit \u2014 in which, as The Associated Press reported \u2014 the United States and China agreed \u201cto pursue efforts to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/projecting-weakness-speaker-johnson-slams-biden-on-xi-summit-energy-experts-blast-climate-deal\/\" title=\"'Projecting Weakness': Speaker Johnson Slams Biden on Xi Summit, Energy Experts Blast 'Climate' Deal\">triple global renewable energy capacity<\/a> by 2030.\u201d The words \u201ctriple global renewable energy\u201d might send\u200c a thrill up liberal legs everywhere, but the deal should dismay Americans who care \u2064about the security of their country (not to mention their own pocketbooks).<\/p>\n<p>Both countries agreed to \u201caccelerate the substitution for coal, oil \u200band gas generation\u201d with alternative \u2062energy sources like solar panel farms and wind turbines, \u200daccording to Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>Energy \u2064sector specialists quoted by Fox noted that that not only hurts\u200b the U.S., with its\u2064 production and reliance on fossil fuels, but it \u200bhelps China, because of the country\u2019s domination of the \u201cgreen\u201d energy market.<\/p>\n<p>For example, China produces 75 percent of the global supply \u200dof the\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/outdated-solar-panels-wind-turbines-electric-car-batteries-will-clog-landfills-with-hazardous-waste-according-to-new-report\/\" title=\"Outdated Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, Electric Car Batteries Will Clog Landfills With Hazardous Waste According To New Report\">lithium-ion batteries<\/a> used in the kind of electric vehicles the Biden administration is trying to force on American consumers, according to Fox, which cited International Energy Agency data.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Turner, founder and\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canadian-olympic-committee-warns-athletes-not-to-criticize-china\/\" title=\"Canadian Olympic Committee Warns Athletes Not to Criticize China\">chief executive officer<\/a> of Power the Future \u2014 which promotes the use of fossil fuels produced in the U.S. \u2014 called it a recipe for disaster for American consumers. The energy deal, he said, gave away the store.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, you\u2019re basically writing an agreement that guarantees China a customer and guarantees their manufacturing sector decades of purchasing. Of course, China would love this agreement. And their obligations \u2014 they\u2019ll just ignore \u2064that. They\u2019ve ignored every other obligation,\u201d Turner\u2063 told Fox.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is basically guaranteeing China decades\u200c of wealth, guaranteeing America is\u200d going to\u2064 buy their products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jason Isaac, founder\u2064 and CEO of\u2064 The American Energy Institute, which represents energy \u2063producers in \u200cthe U.S. called the \u200bdeal an example of \u201cChina first, America last.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cXi knows that the grid \u2062in America is getting crushed under the weight of a so-called energy transition. Over\u2064 80%\u200c of\u2062 our reliable thermal generation from natural gas\u200b and\u2064 coal will age-out in the next two decades,\u201d he told Fox News Digital. \u201cInstead of aging out, we need \u2063to build new generation more than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYet, the \u2064current administration is making new,\u2062 reliable electric generation construction nearly\u2064 impossible.<\/p>\n<p>Marlo Lewis, \u2064a senior \u2062fellow at\u200d the conservative think tank the American Enterprise Institute, said the agreement is another step toward \u200da government takeover in the economy as well as a national security hazard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cooperative initiatives outlined by State Department will create make-work for\u200b bureaucrats, subsidies for\u200d rent-seekers, photo ops for \u200dlocal \u200bpoliticians, and new opportunities for Chinese agents of influence\u200b and\u200d industrial\u200d spies,\u201d he told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe effect on climate change, if any, will be\u200c negative, as\u200b the \u2018cooperation\u2019 will nudge the United States closer to Beijing-style central planning, production quotas, and groupthink.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even a glancing look at history post-World War\u200c II should show where that road leads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCentral \u2062planning, production quotas and groupthink\u201d were the hallmarks of the Soviet Union \u2064\u2014 the leader \u200cof the communist world in the \u200dCold War\u200d days \u2064\u2014 and the ultimate loser of the Cold War.<\/p>\n<p>Since coming into office, Biden has been \u200cbehind a series of\u2064 military and diplomatic decisions that have weakened the U.S. abroad.<\/p>\n<p>His economic policies \u2014 \u2064the \u201cBidenomics\u201d\u2063 he\u2019s so proud of \u2014 are\u2064 weakening the country\u2019s\u200c industrial base and the power of the \u200bdollar to buy the goods and services Americans want and need.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s not just projecting weakness to the world \u2014 he\u2019s projecting \u2064it into the country itself.<\/p>\n<p>And unless the\u2062 voters change course in 2024\u2063 \u2014 he\u2019s\u200d going to be projecting it far into the future,\u200b too.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div class=\"author_subscription_pitch\">.author_subscription_pitch p{margin:5px;}<\/p>\n<p><em><b>A Note from Our Founder:<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Silicon Valley \u2063and the Big Tech tyrants have done everything they can to put The Western Journal out of business.
