Such was the case when Adam Johnson, a former player for the NHL&#8217;s Pittsburgh Penguins,\u2063 lost his life during\u2063 an Elite Ice Hockey League game in England.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nhl\/2023\/11\/16\/adam-johnsons-girlfriend-found-engagement-ring-after-his-tragic-death\/71602403007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a>, Johnson&#8217;s\u2062 girlfriend, Ryan Wolfe, made a heartbreaking discovery after \u200chis death. She found an engagement ring in their shared apartment,\u2063 revealing \u2063Johnson&#8217;s intention to propose.<\/p>\n<p>Family friends confirmed that Johnson, 29, had plans\u200d to propose\u200c to Wolfe, his\u200c girlfriend of three years. Grant Clafton, one of Johnson&#8217;s former coaches, described him as a &#8220;joyful grump&#8221; who had become even more joyful because of Wolfe.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I was looking forward to the life that Ryan and Adam were\u2063 creating and deserved. Petgrave&#8217;s skate accidentally slashed Johnson&#8217;s throat, causing \u2064him to \u200ccollapse on the ice. He was later\u200c pronounced \u200bdead at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-jamaal-bowman-pleads-guilty-in-fire-alarm-incident\/\" title=\"Rep.
