Certification of\u2062 Voting Machines<\/h2>\n<p>Republican\u200b Kari \u2063Lake\u2019s legal team filed \u2063a brief at the Arizona Court of Appeals Tuesday arguing that Maricopa County violated the law by falsely claiming that voting machines were certified before the November 2022 general\u2064 election when Lake was \u200da candidate for governor.<\/p>\n<p>In May, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter\u2064 Thompson ruled against Lake, stating that she had not provided enough evidence to prove that Arizona election law \u200cwas not \u2062followed during \u2062the contest, which Democrat Katie Hobbs\u200d won by a slim\u200b margin.<\/p>\n<p>Lake\u200d appealed\u200b the ruling\u200d in June, \u200band in\u2064 July, the case was transferred to the\u200d Arizona Court\u2064 of Appeals division in Tucson, which covers Pima County.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Well, \u200dthe Arizona appellate \u2064court just transferred our election case to another appellate\u2063 court\u2064 division which doesn\u2019t even cover Maricopa County.\u200c That appellate court \u2063covers\u200b Pima County which means the most Marxist part of the\u2062 state \u200bwill\u200c be hearing our case.<\/p>\n<p>We see what\u2019s\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kari Lake (@KariLake) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KariLake\/status\/1678138679989243905?\">July 9, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In\u200b their \u200cTuesday brief to\u200b the appeals court, Lake\u2019s attorneys argued \u2062that\u200c new information has emerged since Thompson\u2019s ruling, revealing that\u2062 Maricopa County \u200bfailed to certify the\u200b voting machines used on Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>According to the brief, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kari-lake-lawsuit-accuses-maricopa-county-of-unlawful-certification-of-voting-machines\/\" title=\"Kari Lake Lawsuit Accuses Maricopa County Of 'Unlawful' Certification of Voting Machines\">misconfigured \u200cballot printers caused\u200c long lines<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kari-lake-appeals-election-challenge-case-we-are-not-stopping\/\" title=\"Kari Lake vows to continue election challenge: 'We won't quit'\">multiple voting locations<\/a> in\u200b Maricopa County,\u2064 as tabulators rejected \u2063ballots throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaricopa\u2019s system log (\u201cSLOG\u201d)\u200c files show that Maricopa\u2019s vote-center tabulators rejected \u200bdefective BOD-printed ballots more \u200cthan 200,000 \u2062times at a rate of over 7,000 every 30 minutes from 6:30 \u200dam, \u200dshortly after the polls opened, through 8:00 \u200dpm, \u200cafter the polls closed, causing massive lines and chaos\u2062 on\u200d Election Day,\u201d Lake\u2019s lawyers argued.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200battorneys also stated that Maricopa County did not conduct the required Logic and Accuracy (L&#038;A) testing\u200b on the vote-center\u2063 tabulators,\u200d as mandated by Arizona law.<\/p>\n<p>Lake\u2019s \u2063cyber \u200dexpert, Clay Parikh, found that 260 of the 446 tabulators showed \u200cthe same error codes\u200c during unannounced testing as they did on Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these findings, Lake\u2019s lawyers \u2063concluded that \u200dthe election\u2064 should be invalidated due to \u2063the county&#8217;s failure to follow the law.<\/p>\n<p>In response to Lake\u2019s allegations, \u2064Maricopa County claimed that logic \u200dand \u2062accuracy testing was properly completed and live-streamed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Claim: \u2062\u201cMaricopa County did secret testing of tabulation equipment.
