Version: 4.0.47--><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tiger-woods-fires-back-at-ex-girlfriend-after-she-seeks-to-break-nda-citing-law-about-sex-crimes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiger Woods<\/a>\u2018 ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has dropped her sexual assault lawsuit against the professional golfer and said that he \u201cnever\u201d sexually assaulted or sexually harassed her.<\/p>\n<p>In court documents from Florida\u2019s Fourth District Court of Appeal obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tiger-woods-ex-girlfriend-erica-herman-drops-sexual-assault-allegations-nda-appeal-8402236\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a> magazine, Herman filed an official notice on November 10 to dismiss her sexual assault lawsuit and an appeal to dismiss an NDA she signed at the start of her romantic relationship with <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/11\/15\/sports\/tiger-woods-ex-erica-herman-drops-sexual-assault-lawsuit-nda-appeal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Woods<\/a>\u00a0in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Herman, who initially filed the sexual assault allegation to nullify a Non-Disclosure agreement, stated in the new filing that she was \u201cnever a victim of sexual harassment or sexual abuse at the hands of Tiger Woods or any of his agents and it is her position that she never asserted a claim for such.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Tiger Woods\u2019 ex-girlfriend drops sexual assault lawsuit, NDA appeal against golfer <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tlWFv0Lw4X\">https:\/\/t.co\/tlWFv0Lw4X<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fox News (@FoxNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FoxNews\/status\/1724912987033444527?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 15, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In December 2022, Herman filed her initial lawsuit claiming she was owed $30 million after she said Woods asked her to move out of his house before the terms of their \u201coral agreement,\u201d which allowed her to live there for another five years came to an end, People noted.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2023, she filed a separate complaint citing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/senate-bill\/4524\/text\/rs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Speak Out Act<\/a>, which limits the \u201cjudicial enforceability of a nondisclosure clause or nondisparagement clause agreed to before a dispute arises involving sexual assault or sexual harassment in violation of federal, tribal, or state law,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\/tiger-woods-ex-girlfriend-drops-sexual-assault-lawsuit-nda-appeal-against-golfer?intcmp=tw_fnc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>Woods fired back at his ex in court documents after she, citing the Speak Out Act that deals with sex crimes, sought to break the NDA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Herman\u2019s position is utterly meritless,\u201d Woods\u2019 attorney said in court documents. \u201cIt is a transparent abuse of the judicial process that undermines the purpose of the federal statute and those whom the statute seeks to protect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor more than six years, Ms. Herman enjoyed the benefits of her agreement,\u201d Woods attorney added, alleging Herman is \u201cmaking salacious and insidious implications\u201d of claims relating to sexual assault disputes.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2023, Circuit Judge Elizabeth Metzger wrote that Herman\u2019s claim lacked \u201cfactual specificity for any claim relating to sexual assault or sexual harassment.\u201d The judge ruled therefore that Woods\u2019 ex could not get out of the NDA, leading Herman to file an appeal.<\/p>\n<p>The appeal was dismissed by the court on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Woods and Herman were first romantically linked in 2017 and ended their relationship in 2022, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/11\/15\/sports\/tiger-woods-ex-erica-herman-drops-sexual-assault-lawsuit-nda-appeal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tiger-woods-fires-back-at-ex-girlfriend-after-she-seeks-to-break-nda-citing-law-about-sex-crimes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiger Woods Fires Back At Ex-Girlfriend After She Seeks To Break NDA Citing Law About Sex\u00a0Crimes<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tiger Woods\u2018 ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has dropped her sexual assault lawsuit against the professional golfer and said that he \u201cnever\u201d sexually assaulted or sexually harassed her.
