Chris Christie \u2062expressed his views on former President Donald Trump&#8217;s \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-rips-mentally-gone-biden-over-vaccines-wont-say-yet-if-hes-running-in-2024\/\" title=\"Trump Rips \u2018Mentally Gone\u2019 Biden Over Vaccines, \u2018Won\u2019t Say Yet\u2019 If He\u2019s Running In 2024\">poll numbers<\/a> among GOP voters. Christie emphasized that Trump&#8217;s status as a two-time nominee gives him an advantage, \u2063but his \u200ccurrent numbers are cause for concern.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Look, I think that two things that, you know, one, \u200dGuy, is that \u200bthe race isn&#8217;t gonna\u200d change until people start to vote. It&#8217;s \u200bjust not. You have an incumbent involved here \u2014 he&#8217;s essentially an \u2064incumbent,&#8221; Christie said. &#8220;He&#8217;s a two-time nominee, and as the incumbent, he&#8217;s\u2062 going to have great name ID and loyalty advantages off the top. So I&#8217;m not surprised to see it still being the way it is.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But secondly, remember something like in the poll that just came\u2062 out \u200din New Hampshire today? He&#8217;s at 42%,\u2063 Guy. I mean, if any other incumbent\u200c were at 42% inside\u200b their own party, they would be sounding the five-alarm fire bell. And, you know,\u200d he is not\u2063 in good shape, \u200ceven\u2064 inside of his own party. He&#8217;s in worse shape with \u2062the general electorate, and, you know, that&#8217;s gonna\u200c come to fore as \u200bpeople start to really focus on this race and decide,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A recent CNN poll revealed that Trump is leading the\u200d GOP field in New Hampshire \u200bwith 42% support. However, Christie pointed out that polls\u2063 this far out from the primary \u200care not always accurate predictors of the final outcome.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I remember 2016. \u200bI remember the statistic after the race in New Hampshire in 2016 \u2014\u2063 51% of \u200bthe voters who voted in the primary said they decided in the last three days. And of that, 20%\u200c of all the voters said that they decided on Election Day. So\u2062 anybody who thinks\u200b they know what&#8217;s going to happen in this race is wrong,&#8221; Christie said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Christie also expressed his hope for an endorsement from Gov. Chris Sununu of \u2064New Hampshire, as the governor has \u200bhinted at making\u2063 an endorsement in the Republican primary.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Chris is a great \u200bfriend, has been a friend for\u2062 a dozen years. I hope to get his endorsement.
