Gavin Newsom? Anyone?<\/p>\n<p>You have to be naive to believe that it is a coincidence that Newsom\u2019s name keeps coming up as a \u2063possible replacement for President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential race, or \u200bthat Newsome keeps zipping around our nation and the world on business \u200bthat truly has nothing to do with merely \u200drunning his state. Nothing more than any other state, that is.<\/p>\n<p>Other governors aren\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2023\/nov\/14\/blind-to-crime-california-gov-gavin-newsom-frolics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flying to China<\/a> and sitting down with President Xi Jinping for\u2063 a\u2062 conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom is, which can only mean one\u2062 thing.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Party is either hedging its bets or already has decided on replacing Biden as the 2024 nominee. Why else would they be treating Newsom like a debutante?<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u200d might even have been directed by the party to lay the groundwork for the\u200d switch.<\/p>\n<p>This could explain why he said at Wednesday\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2023\/11\/16\/remarks-by-president-biden-at-a-welcome-reception-for-apec-leaders-san-francisco-ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">welcome reception<\/a> for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders, \u201cI want to talk about Governor Newsom. I want to thank him. He\u2019s been one hell of a governor, man. Matter of \u200bfact, he could do anything he wants. He could have the job I\u2019m \u200dlooking for.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>Biden didn\u2019t just say that because the reception was being held in San Francisco, I suspect. Nor did he do so because Newsom deserves the credit.<\/p>\n<p>It seems most likely he did it \u200cbecause Democrats put their party first and the \u2062individual second. That is what\u200b Biden is doing here.<\/p>\n<p>It can\u2019t be \u200dbecause the president\u200c really \u2062believes\u200b that Newsom is good at his job. California \u2062is a mess.<\/p>\n<p>The massive homeless population, out-of-control\u200b crime,\u200b drug epidemic, left-wing policies, escalating taxes and high cost of living are driving residents and businesses to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2023-03-23\/column-which-californians-are-heading-for-the-exits\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flee<\/a> to other states\u2064 in droves. Included in this are the wealthiest among them.<\/p>\n<p>The state is hemorrhaging more residents than it is gaining. It is falling\u2062 apart in significant ways, and \u200bthe governor bears \u2064much \u200bof that blame.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom has been participating in its spiral downward since he was the mayor of San Francisco in 2004. He \u200dthen \u200crose to \u2063lieutenant governor of California in 2011 and to \u200bgovernor in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Now look at things.<\/p>\n<p>Other than \u200cduring this reception when they suddenly and miraculously \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/california-finally-sets-security-barrier-not-protect-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cleaned<\/a> it, San Francisco is overrun by tent cities and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-tells-newsom-he-could-have-his-job-one-hell-of-a-governor\/\" title=\"Biden Tells Newsom He Could Have His Job: 'One Hell of a Governor'\">drug-addicted homeless people crumpled<\/a> over like zombies. It is\u200b very sad.<\/p>\n<p>Even sadder is the possibility that \u2062Newsom could \u200bbecome\u200d our next president and\u2063 what that\u2062 would mean for \u200bthe United\u200c States and our future.<\/p>\n<p>Given the legal circumstances surrounding Biden right now, not to mention the 80-year-old president\u2019s questionable cognizance and health,\u2064 don\u2019t \u2062dismiss the notion that \u200bthis could be the Democrats\u2019 plan.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to remaining in power, the party will stop at \u2064nothing, even if \u200dit\u200b means chucking Biden aside and marching Newsom through the door.<\/p>\n<p>The president\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/confirmed-president-trump-will-not-welcome-china-joe-to-the-white-house-on-wednesday\/\" title=\"Confirmed: President Trump Will NOT Welcome China Joe to the White House on Wednesday\">approval rating stands<\/a> at a paltry 39 percent, according to the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/graphics\/USA-BIDEN\/POLL\/nmopagnqapa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters\/Ipsos poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, his <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/11\/16\/news\/biden-says-gavin-newsom-could-have-the-job-im-looking-for\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaffes<\/a> seem to be growing\u200d more \u200dvisible. \u2063The increased prominence may just \u2064be because they are no \u2063longer being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-doctor-biden-classic-sign-dementia-something-obvious-outside\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hidden<\/a> by the\u200b party as it moves toward a presidential candidate switch.<\/p>\n<p>Understandably, a point may come\u200b when a new\u2062 Democratic candidate needs to be chosen. He looks the part \u200dof a president. He is also being handled very strategically, slowly and methodically being paraded about so as not to cause a \u201cshock to the system\u201d if the need to trade \u2063places with Biden arises.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime,\u200d Democrats are gauging how he plays in Peoria, so to speak.<\/p>\n<p>They already know how he will play in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/apple-blackrock-pfizer-ceos-fawn-chinas-communist-ruler-xi-jinping-give-standing-ovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China<\/a>. Newsom\u2019s track record as governor of \u2064California\u200b is questionable \u200dat best. The state is facing numerous challenges, including \u2064homelessness, crime, and a \u2064struggling \u2062economy. These issues cannot be ignored\u2064 or brushed under the rug.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore,\u2062 Newsom\u2019s policies and actions do not \u200balign with the values\u200d and priorities of many Americans. His left-wing agenda and support for radical policies such as defunding the police and \u200cimplementing \u200cstrict COVID-19 \u200clockdown measures \u2064have drawn\u2063 criticism from conservatives and \u2062moderate Democrats alike.<\/p>\n<p>If Newsom were \u200bto become \u2062the Democratic nominee \u2063and potentially the president in 2024, it\u200b could have a significant impact on the direction of\u2064 the country. The United States would likely see\u200b a \u200bcontinuation of progressive policies and a further divide between \u200dthe left and the right.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the decision rests with the Democratic Party and its voters.
