The problem is they\u2019re not very good at using it.<\/h2>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.almanac.com\/fact\/where-does-the-expression-red-herring-come\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Farmer\u2019s\u200d Almanac<\/a>, a good \u2062way to extend a fox hunt back in the\u2062 day was to drag\u2063 a dead cat across the trail\u2062 to cover the fox\u2019s scent and confuse the \u200dhounds. They called the technique a red herring because \u201csmoked and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ramaswamy-flips-the-script-after-cnn-hosts-asks-gotcha-question-about-trump\/\" title=\"Ramaswamy Flips the Script After CNN Hosts Asks 'Gotcha' Question About Trump\">salted herrings turn bright red<\/a> in the curing process and emit a pungent, \u200dfishy smell\u201d\u200b that might confuse a hound.<\/p>\n<p>When CNN\u2019s Abby Phillip\u200c asked GOP presidential\u2062 candidate Vivek Ramaswamy if he thinks Trump\u2019s comment \u201cthey live like vermin\u201d \u2014\u200d delivered in a Veteran\u2019s Day statement \u2014 was \u201cneo-Nazi rhetoric,\u201d Ramaswamy wasn\u2019t confused, reported the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/11\/16\/vivek-ramaswamy-cnn-trump-vermin-corporate-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Caller<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever else you might think about Ramaswamy, you have to admit he\u2019s a smart guy. And he doesn\u2019t pull \u2063punches. He uses logic\u200b like a boxer uses a straight right to the jaw.<\/p>\n<p>Phillip cited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/chris-christie-crashes-burns-freedom-summit-boos-kills-campaign-insulting-crowds-reprehensible-beliefs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Christie<\/a> \u2014 the GOP RINO also running for president \u2014\u200c who joined in with Joe Biden\u2019s comparison of the \u201cvermin\u201d remark to Nazi Germany. \u201cTrump\u2019s a Nazi\u201d \u200bseems to be all the left can come up with. Fear Trump. Trump is scary. Orange Man is bad. If he said yes, he would be a neo-Nazi. If he said no, he would be implicating Trump as a neo-Nazi. Time to flip the script.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI talk about the issues,\u201d he said. \u201cWe all talk about them differently. But what I\u2019m not gonna\u200c do is play some game of focusing on some word that somebody else\u2064 said without ignoring entirely the substance\u200d of what we\u2019re actually talking about:\u2062 A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/special-forces-veteran-warns-joe-rogan-comes-next-border-crisis-attack-israel-wouldnt-hold-candle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">border crisis<\/a> of historic proportions. He then \u2062attacked super-progressive\u2064 Democratic California \u200dGov.
