And they do so \u200din such vast numbers and across \u2062so many domains that it becomes nearly impossible to \u200bkeep track of their actions. Even if you oppose \u200ctheir agenda, \u200das\u2064 many people do, it&#8217;s challenging to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lowering-the-standards-in-every-industry-in-the-name-of-diversity\/\" title=\"Lowering The Standards In Every Industry In The Name Of Diversity\">stay fully informed due<\/a> to the sheer scale of their operation.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here&#8217;s\u200d a\u200b brief \u2062overview, although far from exhaustive. Even medical schools like U.C. Davis are ranking\u2063 applicants\u2062 based on perceived &#8220;hardships&#8221; \u2062rather than merit. \u200cThis trend \u200cof lowering\u200c standards to increase &#8220;diversity&#8221; is evident \u2064in various fields, from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/search-and-rescue-teams-at-site-of-indonesian-plane-crash\/\" title=\"Search and rescue teams at site of Indonesian plane crash\">air traffic control<\/a> \u200dand airline\u2062 piloting to Silicon Valley\u200b and even zoos \u200dand aquariums.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With all this in mind,\u200c one might \u2064assume that it&#8217;s impossible to be shocked by any industry lowering\u2062 its standards in the\u200d name of diversity. After all, if \u2063everyone\u200c is doing it, how surprising \u2064can these initiatives truly be?<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>A Startling Development in Social Work<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That&#8217;s what I thought until recently when \u200bI learned about a new plan to &#8220;diversify&#8221; one of the least demanding and rigorous professional fields. I didn&#8217;t believe \u2063it was\u200d possible for this field \u2064to lower its\u200c already low standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to NBC News Washington:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They&#8217;re now \u200clowering the standards \u2062for social workers because not \u200cenough people with\u200d &#8220;darker skin&#8221; are\u200b passing the test. This segment is already insane. A black woman\u200c named Sarah\u2064 claims she needed a black\u2062 therapist\u200c who shared her &#8220;views.&#8221; She couldn&#8217;t tolerate a white, Hispanic, or Asian therapist.\u2062 NBC News doesn&#8217;t challenge her reasoning or its implications.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Let&#8217;s consider\u2062 those implications. The\u200c underlying assumption\u2064 is\u2064 that you\u2063 can only \u200dbenefit from a therapist who shares your exact \u200cworldview. This assumption is prevalent\u200d because much of therapy involves paying someone to agree with\u200b you. There&#8217;s no\u2063 scientific basis for it.\u200d Patients choose doctors\u2063 who tell them what they want \u2063to hear, \u2062and doctors are \u2063aware of this. They call it &#8220;affirmative care.&#8221; Instead of offering independent diagnoses or pushback, therapists tell children \u2062they&#8217;re\u200d &#8220;transgender&#8221; or have \u200b&#8221;ADHD.&#8221; This is how therapy works \u2063today, but it&#8217;s not \u2062how \u2064it&#8217;s \u200bsupposed to work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In theory, counseling should involve someone \u200cwho\u2063 sees the world \u2063differently \u200cfrom you. You seek guidance because there&#8217;s\u200c a problem with your perspective. But what&#8217;s even more interesting in the clip\u2064 is Sarah&#8217;s assertion \u2064that the only way \u200dto find a therapist who thinks\u200d like her is\u2062 to find \u2064one with \u200bthe same skin color. This goes beyond mere racism; it&#8217;s race essentialism. If a white person endorsed this perspective, they would be labeled a domestic terrorist.\u200d But \u200bwhen a black person endorses it on NBC News, there are no consequences. NBC\u2063 News even endorses her viewpoint.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Let&#8217;s examine the statistics mentioned in the clip. Between 2018 and 2021, \u2062approximately 76% of white test-takers passed the bachelor&#8217;s level exam on their\u200b first attempt. Asians had \u2062a 60% pass \u200drate, followed \u2063by Hispanics \u200bat 53%, and blacks at 33%. \u200bThese rankings generally align with the distribution of \u2063SAT\u2063 scores, with one notable exception. Asian test-takers typically excel on standardized tests, but in this case, they lag\u2062 behind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">NBC News, however, disregards the relatively poor performance of Asians and instead \u200cfocuses solely on the\u200b low number of black students who pass. For my part, I take some \u2064pride in the fact that\u2063 white people \u200bare surpassing Asians in at least one category. But the question remains: why is the 33% pass \u200drate among black test-takers automatically seen as evidence of \u2062a flawed test?\u200d Is it truly racist? To find out, I watched study sessions \u200bon YouTube, hoping to identify any \u2064racist questions. \u200bInstead, I \u200bwas bored to tears. The questions were mundane and far from racist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After examining the social worker exam questions, it&#8217;s clear that they are not racist. Yet, activists and elected \u200cofficials in D.C. are attempting to eliminate the testing requirement \u200bentirely,\u2063 based on unfounded claims. This move contradicts the purpose of licensing requirements, which aim to ensure competence in a profession and protect \u200cthe\u200c public. Instead of \u200cadmitting everyone and then dealing with the\u2064 consequences of incompetence, we should \u2063maintain standards from the\u200b start.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ironically, the Left has been advocating for social workers to replace law \u200denforcement in various situations, expanding their power and scope. Yet, they are simultaneously lowering \u2062the standards \u2064for social \u200cworkers. While social workers \u2062are generally ineffective, this trend symbolizes a larger problem. The Left seeks \u2064to reshape society by eroding standards across all\u2064 professions, from the most demanding to the least. They\u2063 won&#8217;t stop until they have undermined the legitimacy of every job in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Except, of course,\u200d they won&#8217;t implement any diversity initiatives \u200din <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nba-teams-required-to-host-booster-shot-events-by-new-years-eve-amid-coronavirus-surge\/\" title=\"NBA Teams Required to Host Booster Shot Events by New Year's Eve Amid Coronavirus Surge\">major sports leagues<\/a> where their\u2062 preferred\u2062 demographics are already dominant. But in every other field, they are determined to reduce standards\u2064 to \u200bthe point of nonexistence. If even social workers are exempt from\u2064 a simple test, it proves\u2063 that they can \u200beliminate standards in every other area. We\u200b must decide whether we\u2064 want a functioning society or\u200b if\u2062 we will allow them \u200dto succeed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> What message does\u200d the initiative to lower standards in professional fields send about the value of hard work and maintaining well-established standards?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Students\u2063 have a higher pass rate, not because of their skin color, \u200cbut because they have \u200cstudied, prepared, and met\u2063 the\u2064 standards required for success. It is not a matter \u2064of discrimination \u2063but of competence and merit.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b decision to\u200c lower the standards \u200dfor social workers based on race is not\u2063 only concerning but also dangerous. The field of social work is one that requires individuals to\u2063 have the knowledge, skills, and empathy necessary to support and \u200bassist those in need. Lowering\u2062 the standards in this \u2063profession compromises the quality of care\u200c provided to vulnerable individuals and\u200c puts their \u200bwell-being at risk.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, \u2063this\u200c initiative sends a message that academic achievement and competency can be overlooked\u2064 in the\u2063 pursuit of diversity. \u200bIt undermines the value of hard work and\u200b the importance of maintaining well-established standards in professional \u200bfields. However, this should not\u2063 be achieved through the erosion of standards.\u200d Instead, we should focus on providing resources, support, and equal access to education and training that enables \u2063individuals \u200cfrom \u2064all walks of\u200d life to meet and\u200b excel in established standards.<\/p>\n<p>Activists who advocate for the erosion \u2064of standards in the name of equity must be mindful of the unintended consequences of their actions. Balancing\u2063 the pursuit of \u2064diversity with the maintenance of excellence is a delicate task that requires thoughtful consideration, \u200ccollaboration, and a commitment to upholding high standards.<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, the trend of lowering standards in various fields, including social work, under\u2063 the guise of diversity is \u2063concerning. It undermines the credibility and\u2064 effectiveness of these professions and\u200b puts \u200dvulnerable individuals at risk.
